I was carrying some pictures of my son in my purse to show my friends and they all got stuck together. How do I pull them apart without ruining them?

What can I do next?

My husband is a photographer and forensic photographer.

He asked if they are color or Black and White?
Gloss or satin finish?

If they are color with a glossy finish, soak them in plain water for a few minutes until the seperate, then place them on a very clean towel till they dry, they will probably curl, then place a clean sheet over then and lightly iron them on a low setting. They can now at least be scanned to make copies..

He says if you have a steamer, you could attempt steaming them .

Soak them in water and gently peel them apart. When they're almost dry, sandwich them between paper towels and put them in and under heavy books. This should work with any finish, color or black and white. (Been there--and I'm a photographer!) Good luck.

I wonder if putting them in the freezer would help, sounds silly but it can't hurt! Then peel apart?

Archivers carries a product called Undu - though I have heard that it may be off the market. Works wonders!
