I am wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase plain/colored undies to go under my dd's dresses. When I buy her dresses now in a 4 or 4T they usually don't come with the undies anymore, so I was wondering if anyone knows if they can be purchased somewhere.

What can I do next?

I would put shorts on her. You can get those little gymnastics shorts that are not bulky and not too long. They work great for playground time and for laying around on the floor, preschool circle time, etc.

I ran into the same issue. One of my daughter's is autistic and was not potty-trained until she turned 5. I didn't want her to wear dresses to school with pull-ups (afraid she would get teased). We ended up going to Wal-mart and buying the $2.88 knit shorts and leggings in every color. She loved them because they were comfortable and she could get up and down by herself as we worked on the potty training issue. Also easy to launder. Now she is 5 and finally potty-trained and she will not hardly wear a dress without the shorts or leggings.

My 4 y/o wears those leggings that come down just past her knee under her dresses or I have some bloomers that my mom made if I think the leggings are too long for something. If you google bloomers, there are several sites that sell bloomers in different colors and lengths. The same sites also usually sell slips which are hard to find nowadays. This is my favorite www.jumpinbloomers.com

I use shorts that are just thin, pull-on elastic shorts. I have twin 5 yr old girls and they are big for their age, so I have had to do this for several years. I use the same shorts they wear during the summer. I have had good luck buying such things at the Children's Place. To the extent they have any in your child's size you can probably get excellent prices right now. Also the Children's Place and Sears have quite a few "skorts" which are skirts with shorts built in. For a slightly higher price you can look at the Pumpkin Patch in WillowBend Mall - which on their sale rack is not too terribly expensive and they have really really cute skirts with the shorts built in. Good luck.
