Does the Potty Training In 3 Days really work? And, what kind of food processors do you like for making baby food?

What can I do next?

I (and quite a few of my friends) totally love "Toilet Training in Less Than A Day" by Azrin. Works starting at 20 months. My daughter was 25 months and my boys were 27 months and 31 months. The last was pretty insistent he wasn't going to play the game. :) He knew what to do at 22 months, just didn't want to.

I used my blender. I also had a little hand grinder for when we were out.

GL with both!

If your child is ready to train then yes 3 day potty training works if done correctly. if your child is not ready it will just be frustrating.

You can potty train in one hours, much less three days if your child is good and ready. If not, it could be three YEARS! tehehe

I just used a regular ole blender to make baby food. But mostly my kids didn't really eat solids until they started moocing, at which time I just mashed with a fork whatever we were eating and put it on their tray for them to pick up and eat themselves. Was a BLAST watching the look on their faces everytimes they tried something new. Enjoy!

I have no idea about the potty training in 3 days.

For baby food - i love our magic bullet! i know some people say its a "scam" or not worth it, but i don't care what they say, i LOVE it! I tried babyfood with a food processor and the Bullet is so much easier to clean and so fast to use! And you can use it for all sorts of things after you don't need it for babyfood anymore! A blender couldn't quite get the food pureed enough for my little ones.
And for information on how to cook each food, store it, and recipes: i love www.wholesomebabyfood.com

I used the 3 day potty training and love the method if you realize they will not be fully potty trained in 3 days (I may define FULLY potty trained different than they do) they get the idea, but by no means fully potty trained. I reccomend the method, but don't get frustraited when you are still at home with a kid in underware a few extra days. My son took about 5 days before he would go pee pee by himself, it took a couple more weeks before #2 flollowed. We also found a gender specific book and read it to him before nap and bed and that seemed to encourage him a lot. Even though the book says not to use pull ups at all we used them for nap and night as my son is a deep sleeper and I could not bring myself to wake him an hour after going to sleep and an hour before he normally gets up (since my son did not wake up dry this is what they suggested with their online help). Washing sheets twice a day for two weeks got tiresome too. We used pull ups for about three months and soon he wanted to wear his underware to bed like daddy so we started giving him rewards for waking up dry and withing two weeks he was wearing underware to bed and we have only had two bed wetting accidents. Both were on vaccation and he had played so hard he slept like a rock.

Ditto Theresa N. <grinning> Mooching. SUCH an apt term. But yah... the nervous system has to rewire for conscious contol. If it has... then poof 1-3 days easy. If not, months and years.

To know as well... it seems "gross" but chewing up your own food and then giving it to your baby gives them tons of enzymes that are in your saliva (that excrete when we eat that starts breaking down our foods before they even hit our stomachs and intestines) that helps them digest the food as well as establish their own enzymes. Also, it makes it naturally wet enough / smooth enough for babies to swallow foods with ease since saliva is naturally viscous. If it makes you feel any better about the process a) this is what all the doctors and nurses and scientists (microbiology, immunology, and one astrophysicist - although he only counts peripherally) have done in my family for 5 generations (aka living memory)... and b) our kids have been "sliming" us for months/years with baby mush kisses. It's not anything that they -and we- haven't had in our mouths tons and tons of times already.

I've never read the book, but by taking my friends suggestions I did potty train my son in 3 days. I stayed home from work for a week, I put underware on him during the day, took him to the pot every hour, bragged on him every time he went in the pot, kept him in the kitchen so he would not go on the carpet. If he started to go I picked him up and sat him on the pot. One the 3rd day we were in line at a resturant and he told me he had to go. Then walked back from the bathroom telling everyone he went potty in the potty!!. I did keep diapers on him during nap and night time for about 6 months after, until he went a whole month with no accidents. One thing to NOT do is use pull ups. That will only delay potty training. To them there is almost no difference than those or a diaper. And one thing that I did with my younger daughter that delayed her potty training was after a couple of days we had to go out and I put a diaper on her, and then kept doing that for a while after, It took her much longer and I wish I would have never done it. Just make sure to take them about every hour, right before you leave to go some where, If you have to go shopping take them not to long after you get to the store and then right when you get back home.
I also think the magic bullet would be great, or even a vitamix.

I did Potty Training in a Day and it worked on all three of my kids perfectly they were all potty trained in one day and never an accident - even at night! I have not tried Potty Training in 3 Days, but I am sure it is the same concept and will work as well.

As far as processors, I am on #3 and evidently am incredibly hard on them because I break them all the time. Currently I have an Oster and a Magic Bullet. The Oster is WAY better but I do like the Magic Bullet because it is smaller and easier to do quick food but is harder to get all the pieces chopped.

Enjoy!

I just use my hand-blender (stick blender) for making baby food. I bought a baby food grinder at a thrift store, and we don't like it much. It makes food too lumpy, and the baby doesn't like it.

Potty Training in a day works if your kid is ready for it. We tried it and my son understood what to do, and had no accidents, but he only peed 2 teaspoons at a time. I talked to his doctor, and we put it off for another year until he started holding it.

And even then, he's had a long history of accidents. he understands it all, but is a bit absent-minded about peeing, so he wets a little before making it to the toilet, and half the time, he's doing the pee-pee dance and we have to tell him to go potty.

So to summarize, it works, but it's not a cure-all or anything.
