Congratulations! My best friend had twins. Of course they want to keep them in as long as possible, but I think 37 weeks is about right. Most multiples end up coming early because it's their time or maybe because they don't have enough room. Try not to worry,sounds like your doctor knows what he's talking about.

Hi! I have twins too, they put a c section date for me for 37 weeks, I did not make it and had them at 36 weeks, so yes it is normal. Congrats!

I have twins and would recommend that you find and join a twins mom group for support and help. I belong to the North Dallas Mothers of Twins club and it really gave me a great support group of moms. www.ndmotc.org

I would try to rest and follow doctors orders as closely as possible. Many moms have twins early, so if you can make it to 37 weeks it would be great! However, if you don't have to induce and can keep them in there longer I, personally, would. If you aren't comfortable with anything I'd definitely talk to your doctor. It is very normal to have a C-section for a number of reasons.

Yes it is normal for them to induce your labor. When I was told I was having twins my husband and I were in shock! I had a great pregnancy and carried them 35 weeks and 5 days. I had one normally and one by C section. I had a boy and a girl as well. They are now 4 years old. I was always so worried that they would have to stay in the hospital longer than I would. I was so glad that they weighed over 5 pounds so that they could be released with me.
