My Sister has twins. Diapers! Diapers! Diapers! and Wipes. I know, not very cute, but they will be so thankful. You go through about 10 - 20 diapers a day with twins.
I am attending a baby shower for a friend who is having twin boys. She already has a nearly two year old boy so she already has the basics. Any ideas on unique gifts for twins? Special things she might need?

If they are going to be identical I would recommend onsies with different sayings on them ~ they have wonderful ones for twins. They say cure things like 'thing one' and 'thing two' It is hard enough to bring home a new baby let alone TWO that you might not be able to tell apart right away. Good luck to you and send best wishes to the new mom!
She probably has one of everything, but as a mother of twins, I did find that it was helpful to have 2 of some things. For example, I definitely used a second bouncy seat and a double snap-n-go stroller. An infant carrier is also useful and of course, you do have to have some doubles like 2 car seats. Lots of burp cloths, onesies, diapers and a gift card to a baby store are also good.
hmmm lets see my best friend has identical twin boys. what i did was bought the same outfit but in different colors (even though she wanted the same thing for both). i also got the needed things like - diapers, bath supplies, and bottles. you can go online and get the new babies personalized clothes. theres endless possibilities. she will always need more for twins. my friend had 2 of just about everything. storage shelfs are a must! good luck!
As a mom of twins I can speak from experience........even if she has 1 of everything....ask her if there is anything she needs two of.....I needed two bouncers, two swings, two excersaucers, two boppy's etc....
Some twin moms think that one of somethings is just fine but for a lot of things I needed two. She likely will even need things more since her time will be split 3 ways so she'll need to find ways to keep the babies entertained while she tends to another child.
I carried my twins a lot. I had a carrier that went on my back and I strapped the other to my front. It was years ago, don't remember the names but I am sure there are better ones now.
What ended up being some of my favorite baby shower gifts were the ones for US. Takeout/delivery menus with gift certificates...an in home massage...10 bottles of laundry detergent (even my brand!...and we were dirt poor at the time, so that was a big help), one day a week overnight on my couch by a good friend for a month...so I could sleep in...blessed blessed, etc. We have lots of multiples in our family...and the big things the new parents really needed were time...to adjust and get in a new groove...so anything along those lines is usually really really appreciated. Also, a certificate to take the older sibling on an outing for a few hours (if you're close enough to them to do that) is another great thing.
Hi M.,
I like the identical outfits but in two colors that others are suggesting. Also personalcreations.com has unique twin gifts. The only problem with personalized gifts though is that she could change the name, and this is assuming she already has them picked out.
I be there are lots of "twin" websites you could find through google. They would probably have some unique ideas there.
