I had a tummy tuck on May 27th....it was the best decision I could have made. I had a very saggy lower tummy, I mean seriously, the flapping kind after losing 78 lbs over the last two years not to mention a twin full term pregnancy six years ago. I thought it was a pretty easy surgery all things considered. It was done outpatient with versed as my anesthetic drug. I was completely awake but have no memory of the surgery nor the rest of the day after. I would say the pain was about a 7 but hydrocodone for the first couple of days helped me sleep through a lot of it. You will have to wear the very tight compression garment for a week to ten days and that helps a lot with the incision discomfort as well. Really, after about 3 days, you should feel pretty ok. The pain will gradually subside but there will be some numbness that will last for many months, I still have it. But overall, I recovered quickly and am so pleased with the result soif you have a good doctor that you trust then I say go for it. And in case you are wondering, I paid $8500 for my tummy and side tuck...no muffin tops for me :-)
