Hi B.,
We take our 11-month-old to see Dr. Hull at Tucson Central Pediatrics. We've only seen her a couple of times, but we really like her. Previously, we saw Dr. Young, a resident, at the UMC pediatrics clinic. He was awesome, but we decided to switch because we wanted our baby to see the same doctor throughout his childhood, and residents eventually leave. We also didn't like the parking at the hospital or taking our child TO a hospital for his well-baby checkups. The pediatricians at UMC really know their stuff, though, so if you have various specialist needs, you can't go wrong there. I believe there's a pediatric specialty clinic on Alvernon, too, but I haven't been there.
My husband and I go to family practice (and my OB/GYN) at University Physicians Healthcare on Alvernon. We don't usually see the same person, though, just whoever is available, except for my OB/GYN. I really like Dr. Johnson. I wanted her to be my OB, but she was pregnant and would have been on leave during the birth. I liked my OB, but she was very young and inexperienced, so in retrospect, I'd have gone with someone else. I've liked every gynecologist I've seen there, though. They have residents as well, so I've had a hard time seeing the same person for longer than a few years. I guess I might be telling you where not to go! But really, I like the clinic a lot. HTH.
