I'm struggling too, but one thing that is helping is Shakeology.

Have you heard about it? Google it. It sounds like another lose weight fast thing, but it is the first shake of its kind that actually does suppress my appetite. I drink it with soy milk every day before work and again if I want to skip a meal or whatever.

It's $$-but I buy on Ebay so that helps. It breaks down to $3/day. Plus I often mix it with Carnation instant Breakfast to stretch it. I use lite soy milk, packet of carnation and a small scoop, (like from a can of formula) of the Shake and blend it.

A friend introduced me to it and she showed it to her ped and he was impressed with all the healthy stuff in it! I sneak it to my kids when I can hide it in something too.

I would get plenty of fruits and vegetables but also protein, probiotics (like yogurt or kefir) and nuts and whole grains. I am a Post Partum Doula AND have been a wellness coach for 15 years. I am actually just switching my current vitamin mineral supplement to the best I feel is available. It's a liquid delivery AND the same company has a weight loss product called Thin. Have a look at www.evolvingworldwide.com and look to read about the new XOWii products that are joining the EvolvHealth Nutraceutically Enhanced Bottled Water Beverage. Evolv increases oxygen uptake and utilization at the cellular level (where everything happens) and it promotes a healthy inflammatory response. See www.Archaeaactive.com for science and the natural ingredients that earned it the highest approval test by Futureceuticals, the 100 year old Co that also farms and grows it's Own ingredients for many of the top whole foods supplement companies.

This must be confusing so I'm leaving you my number. Call me if you have time and I can quickly walk you through the website or let you hear a product review conf. call that will go into what exactly is so special about these products and what they can do for you. You don't have to be skeptical because there have been in-vitro and ex-vivo studies done. The products re dived the Target Test Seal of Approval AND the company that brings us the product line (through direct sales) has a 90-day satisfaction, money-back guarantee. Wed night 3/8/11, at 8:30 pm CST, do you want to listen in on a product call for Distrs and see what you think? I have been in the field of nutritional weight loss for more than 15 yrs. This is worth hearing and then you can decide.

Weight loss is not what is used to be. With all the toxicity in our air, our food and our water, our poor bodies are overloaded.

I started 5 years ago, dropped 42 pounds in 3 months and have KEPT IT OFF! I have about 360 well days every year, I am pharmaceutical free AND my kids are healthier than ever (yes they use the program too!)

Hi Mandy,

The ONLY way to lose weight is to get good nutrition. Most people can't get it through their food so an absorbable multivitamin/mineral complex is necessary. My husband lost 110 pounds with the right one. He was not one to overeat and he was not a couch potatoe but the more he tried to lose weight the more he put on. When I started him on his vitamin regimen the weight started falling off. Your body is not meant to hold weight. If it's working properly (and it only can be if it's healthy) it won't hold onto weight.

If you're interested, I can get you some info on the vitamin he took. It's the only one on the market that I know of that is guaranteed to absorb and it is the only one that is documented not to create free radicals.

God bless,

M.

Boot camp made all the difference for me. I lost the weight and actually feel better/stronger (and even a little lighter) than before pregnancy. There's a weekly class at my gym which is great. And I've taken some of the exercises I learned in the class into my work outs on other days. Probably the single greatest lesson I've learned is not to work out harder, but to work out smarter. Moms don't have always have the leisure of spending hours at the gym per day/week. So we have to make it count. I push myself harder now than I ever did. And, the exercises I choose to do in my limited time at the gym are more effective. Before I would think I had to do 30 - 60 min. of cardio to feel anything. Now I might do 20-40 min of cardio and then spend the rest of the time doing sit ups, lunges, squats and other fast circuit combo moves (all with weights). Women's Health magazine features a group of exercises in every issue in a handy pull-out card which I've used. Other useful tips: Try to find activities you enjoy, make work outs a family thing, register for a walk/run and commit yourself to the training, join a mom's group for support and companionship. Good luck!

I am currently doing weight watchers...If anything it helps with portion control and healthier choices. By attending the meetings you are accountable and do weigh ins. Hang in there I am seeing progress and you will too.

Eat healthy foods with small portions. If you eat 5 small meals a day instead of 3 large ones, it helps. Cut out packaged and fast foods and sodas as much as you can.

Get at least 30 mins of cardio a day, even if it's a brisk walk for 10 mins in the morning, 10 mins of an aerobics video after lunch and 10 mins of jumping jacks at night.

Tone the abs to strengthen those muscles by doing sit-ups and the side sit-ups.

There is plenty of info on good excersizes and meal plans to do this best online.

Well first how long ago did you have your baby? And are you nursing? I have found with both my kids that I lose the majority of the weight in the first 6 weeks but then those last 5 to 10 pounds take forever! I usually have it all off by the 6 month mark. for me what works is just nursing my baby and counting calories. Nursing does help to burn more calories but it can also make you way more hungry so that's why it doesn't always help woman lose weight. If you are nursing you need to eat at least 1500 calories a day. That will keep your milk supply up but is low enough that you will lose weight. If you aren't nursing you can go a little lower.....like around 1200 to 1400 calories. So start counting your calorie intake and it will work. I would also eat a lot of premade food to help make the counting easier. Like lean cuisines, Weight Watcher's frozen meals, slimfast, pregreso light soups etc.

The only thing that worked for me was to completely change how I eat. I eat as "clean" as possible and avoid packaged and processed foods. I've actually seen results eating 3 meals a day and 2 snacks. I don't attend weight watchers or count points but I use their recipes for almost every meal. I also started walking and have found it to be very relaxing and nice time away from the kids/house/husband responsibilities. My hubby is on board and I walk on the weekends 2 hours each day. I also walk with a friend while our older children are in preschool and we push our younger ones in the stroller. Good luck!

Try joining a local Mom's Fitness Group? I'm not sure where you live, but I live in the LA area and run a Free Group called Valley Mom Fit Club. http://www.meetup.com/Valley-Mom-Fit-Club/

Check out meetup.com for groups in your area. It's a great way to stay motivated with other mommies!

Or.....consider hiring a Personal Trainer to come to your home. You can use a backyard or living room area to sweat and tone while your baby is home with you.

I strongly recommend you visit sparkpeople.com
If you want to diet, it will help you set your calorie suggestion and input and track all the food you eat to keep you on track. And there are a lot of great recipes.
If you want to exercise, it will set goals for you and give you suggested routines, etc.
Plus there are lots of articles and information on diet, exercise and healthy living in general.
Plus lots of support groups.
I love this site. I even have their app for tracking food and finding recipes on my phone.
I haven't been very active lately - but I do need to get back on! LOL
