K.,
Bountiful Baskets Food Co-op (www.bountifulbaskets.org) has virgin and organic coconut oil available on a rotating basis.
As for bulk grains - when I get my hands on a solid supplier, I'll post it here!
I'm looking for a local bulk food supplier for whole grains / health food items such as coconut oil, barley, quinoa, lentils, brown rice, wheat bran, wheat germ, oat bran, etc. I already have a good source for fresh fruits and veggies but I'd like to find a good deal on grains and grain products out there. The few local places I know of seem to charge a lot for some of these bulk items, and for out-of-state suppliers I don't like the idea of paying for shipping either. (My hubby is in grad school so I'm a bit of a cheapskate - we'd rather live on what we have than go into debt.:) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :)

Sprouts sells most if not all of these items and their prices are very reasonable. I enjoy their bulk stuff all the time. If you are not near a Sprouts there is also the Sunflower Market or Whole Foods. All have internet sites. If you prefer to order via the internet I know there are sites out there as well. Good luck!
Hi K.,
Congratulations on your upcoming baby! :) I think it's great you're so interested in eating healthy...especially with bringing a new life into the world.
I am also looking for a new bulk supplier (organic), as Sprouts bulk section is NOT organic and my previous supplier stopped delivering to my area just last week. If I find one, I will certainly send you an email.
Best wishes to you for a healthy (and speedy) deliver! :)
Warm Regards,

I'd actually like to just ask what your source for fruits and vegetables is! I haven't found one yet. Unfortunately I can't answer your question, though I'd love to know myself! I love buying healthy foods in bulk and trying whole foods recipes too.
My husband has Celiac disease and he can only have certain foods and boy are they expensive. I have noticed that when you want to eat better you have to pay more for it. well i have not used the services yet but if you look up www.celiac.com there is a link somewhere in there to order some bulk foods. we also shop at Whole Foods and some things that you buy you can get a discount for buying the whole case? I think that whenever i have found the link on the celiac web page it takes me to amazon.com? well good luck. Sprouts also has givin me a discount when i have bought a certain amount of stuff??
Try Nature's Finest. They always have smaller portions of grains in stock (like 2lbs) but if you go into the store they will special order larger quantities for you at lower prices.
Good Luck!
