I had an ectopic and got pregnant, but it took a while (I was older too).

My mother also had an ectopic and had 3 kids afterward.

Use ovulation predictor kits for a few months to find out what your pattern of ovulation is so you at least know the right time when you are ovulating. Eat lots of vegetables (helps to regulate hormones) and start taking folic acid now - it helps prevent birth defects and helps with miscarriage.

Cut out the junk food and drink water not caffeine.

Have you really been tracking your cycle? If not, you can google search for an online fertility calculator that will help you predict when you are most likely to conceive. Also, you can buy ovulation test strips that can help you figure out when you are likely to conceive.

If you have been doing both of these things for 12 months with no luck, then please go back to your doctor and insist on some testing. If you are over age 35, then don't wait more than 6 months.

Our insurance spent thousands of dollars for fertility. To help you without a doc appt, there are online programs that can help you keep track of your ovulation history and period history. Mine years ago was maybe $40. That combined with ov prediction kits is what the doc ordered. Dollar General or Family Dollar may have kits for cheaper than CVS or Walgreens.

Best wishes.... try not to worry about it... enjoy your love! So many people get preg after they adopt bc they no long worry, but are happy enjoying life. Plan some fun outings. Hope this helps!

Not sure how old you are or how long you have been trying but I would have ob do some bloodwork etc and test your husband. Definitely use ovulation predictor.

My husband had some pretty good success rate with some of his patients by using acupuncture. Just a thought.
