TRICK OR TREATING For TODDLER ?

The city of Lake Stevens has a family Halloween night downtown Lake Stevens around the library. It is great. All the downtown stores hand out candy and books, etc. The fire department is there handing out candy. They get a free picture at Jay's market. And they have games and music. It really is a good time and it starts at 5pm for those with little ones!
It will be advertised in the Lake stevens journal and you probably can find something about it at the lake stevens family center website.
We went last year and plan on going again this year.

The Everett Mall is having their event I think from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. I was just there yesterday and saw the sign. I too live in Lake Stevens last year when my son was 2 1/2 I just took him to a few houses close by in the neighborhood and then let him go to bed a little later than usual. We first took him trick or treating when he was 19 months old and we only went to about five houses because that is all his attention span could take so you might only be looking at getting him to bed at 7:30 instead of 7.

Lots of stuff to do during the day! Visit any local farm, entry is free for most, fees are applied for certain activities, like the cornmaze, picking pumpkins, making scarecrows, etc. But you can visit the farm animals and go on hayrides for free at most places... Check online, if you visit their websites a lot of them have coupons for $1+ off that you can print out and bring with you. Also, a few haunted houses have "kid days" which is totally a NO SCARE deal. The turn on all the lights, give out free stuff, do facepainting, trick or treating.. its usually one day out of the entire month so check their calendars and mark yours! Also FYI for other mom's out there, if you become a fan of a haunted house on face book you can get additional coupon savings of $5 off per person to haunted houses! That could save some mega cash if your taking the whole family/kids friends!

Check w/the Everett Mall. They usually have something going on.

i'm not sure about during the day, but we head over to everett mall for trick or treating. it starts at 5 and the request a non-perishable food donation. all the stores close early so it's just kids and parents. i have an almost 4 year old who gets enough candy that i don't have to buy any for her or daddy for the whole year! you can hit quite a lot of stores and still be home for bedtime. this will be our first year with our new little one (she's 8 months old) so we won't be staying late either. she is ADAMANT about her 7 pm bath! maybe we'll see you there!
there's also stocker farms corn maze and stuff going on down highway 9. i've never been, but i have heard radio ads this year. you could also check out craven farms online. they have lots of stuff going on. carven is free (unless you want to buy something).

My son totally loved trick or treating at that age. He was so excited and we went to half the houses in our neighborhood!
