Wondering if anyone out there makes tri-tip steak. How do you prepare or cook/broil/grill it. Any recipes or preparation ideas??

Thanks

Hi G., Trader Joes has tri-tips premarinated with different flavors. We also grill them.

We have made one before and it was great - we marinated it in red wine, steak sauce and spices (can't remember exactly what we used - probably salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc.) and then grilled it.

I've never actually made it myself, but my friend swears it's the BEST meat EVER!
Anyways, he ALWAYS grills it.

It actually cooks very quickly in a pan on the stove - cut up into pieces or strips about 5 minutes...as a whole steak, about 4 minutes per side. You can use olive oil, sesame oil or peanut oil to cook it on medium heat.

This kind of meat is mostly used for stir fry. If you want some awesome recipes, visit www.bakespace.com or www.allrecipes.com for variations on how to prepare it (or what to use it for)!

Take olive oil, freshly minced garlic (not from the jar, from the clove!), salt, and pepper and mix in a bowl. 'Massage' it into the meat, then grill.
