COnsider you do not know whether your child will have painful ear pressure or motion sickness so come prepared! Swallowing on take off and landing should help. How long ago did she give up the bottle? I might bring one just in case nothing else works. Check with your doctor about bringing something for pain or motion sickness. Do bring that change of clothes!!

You need more toys and games than you can possibly imagine. Buy a couple of new things that she has never seen too. Bring LOTS of finger foods. Bring whatever lovey she sleeps with if its not too big (a blanket or stuffed animal).

Good luck!

Every airline has its own rules, but when I traveled alone with my 13 month on United Airlines, I learned the following: You can bring a stroller, car seat, and diaper bag without penalty and without touching your baggage allowance, even if the baby is riding on your lap. Hopefully you have a click and go stroller so that the carseat fits inside. If the seat next to you is empty, you can use the baby seat there. If it is occupied, they will gate check the carseat. Anything with a swallowing action helps with the ears, so eating cheerios or drinking water out of a sippy cup will help. I had pre-measured formula in her drinking cups/bottles and then bought bottled water after security. While I always have painful ears while traveling, I was surprised to learn it didn't bother my daughter at all! Toys/Babies R Us sells this great two-pack stroller clips that hold bags around the stroller handle. This way you can have the stroller clip your carry on and the diaper bag so you can be hands-free. Bring some extra zip lock bags in assorted sizes so you can put soiled clothes, etc. in them. I had two gallon bags for toys and books. If it didn't fit in the ziplock I didn't bring it and I could pack everything up and see everything without having to unload the entire diaper bag. Bring twice as much diapers, food, and water than you think you need because delays happen with this weather. Bring an extra sweater or blanket if your seat is at the window. Good luck, arrive early, and enjoy the adventure!

Take plenty of dry friut, cereal, and nutritional bars
because liquids are not allowed on airplanes by the TSA
staff. Powered milk is a must. Any time of dry food.

Toys and blankets to keep the baby warm if need be.

Good luck and relax.

God bless and enjoy your trip.

My son was 7 1/2 months old the first time we flew.

#1 Bring a snugglie, or some carrier to go through the airport with.

#2 Bring an extra shirt for you and outfit for your little one in case your little one spits up on you or themself.

#3 If your child has a pacifer you can use it for take off and landing.

#4 Check with the airlines, but you should be able to bring food for your little one. Not sure about how to heat anything up, but the airline might know.

#5 Bring a stroller, you can feed in the stroller in the airport. And you can gate check it, so you can go through the air port with it.

#6. You can bring milk/formula through security for you little one. They did not question us about the amount. I was nursing so I brought several bottles with so we would have a small stock at our destination.

#7 Bring toys with for your little one to play with. That will help occupy the time.

It sounds like you did not purchase her a seat, but you might be able to request an extra seat that is available on the plane for your little one. If there is an extra seat you can put your little one in the car seat and they will offer you a place for the little one to eat.
You can also talk to the air lines to see if they can offer you help with the little one. I am sure you are not the first one to take a little one alone on a plane.

Good luck
