We're heading to Mexico on the 18th for a family vacation. I'm trying to decide which stroller to bring along for getting around the airport and resort with a 5 month old, 2 year old, and 4 year old. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance :)

What can I do next?

Hey H., I know how much you love your kids and that they are your life .... but at their ages, it's NOT going to be a family vacation. Trust me. Leave the babies with Grandma & go on a second honeymoon. They're not old enough to enjoy or appreciate a trip to Mexico! (Plus, with all the stuff going on in the world, I wouldn't think it would be the safest place either!)

A family vacation with 3 kids under 4 would be a Disney vacation (Cruise or theme park).

Hoping you reconsider! But whatever you do, pack light and versatile!

Good luck.

I second the double stroller and a sling or pack for the baby.

Buy a pair for wee squeaks (wesqueak.net)for the 2 year old. I travel alone a lot with my 2 1/2 year old and they make all of the difference. The shoes have a small squeaker in them that can be removed when you aren't traveling. It is easy to keep up with them if they try to run off as the squeaker can be heard.

I don't know what part in mexico are you going to but anyway is better to take the smallest stroller but I see that you have 2 young ones so you probably need a double stoller but the ones that go one in thefront and one on the back. Have fun in your trip.

Hi H., I take my daughter to Mexico every year for Christmas and I feel for you on that trip! I dont have a stroller sugjestion other than for sure take one they are super expensive over there. My sugjestion is to buy something from babies r us for lack of a better word a leash. This was my saving grace there with a 1 and 2 yr old. They make cute back pack ones so I could keep some little toys inside and they look so cute with them on but mainly it allows them to walk around and get some excercise in some places like the airport or central markets that are not the safest places in the world to let them down. We find that it is just far too long of a trip not to let them walk but can be a little dangerous without one of these.
I hope you enjoy!

I assume you have a double stroller with that age spread. Take the double, and a bjorn/sling/backpack for the baby so both older kids can ride if they need to. Mine aren't quite so close in age, but when I flew to Jamaica by myself with my 2 oldest at ages 3 and 1, my double stroller was ESSENTIAL. Children who are strapped in can't get lost, hurt or destroy things while you are trying to concentrate on checking in, spotting luggage or waiting in line in customs. A leash thing is a good thing to have too.

Play doh, pipe cleaners, stickers, tape and paper make great airplane entertainment. A pillow case makes a great changing table cover that takes up less space in your bag, and covers enough area to change your 2 year old on. I always had enough diapers for my 2 year old so if my 4 year old was desperate to pee during turbulence or final approach to landing (when flight attendants get snippy and you don't want to be unbuckled for any longer than absolutely necessary)I could slip the diaper on her, let her pee in it, then pull it right off and wrap it up. Produce bags make great trash bags for sticky snacks and diapers. For boys, an empty water bottle makes a perfect emergency urinal.

Have a great trip!
