Try the Marriott Ocean Pointe in Palm Beach Shores, FL. They are timeshare units, so all have kitchens, with 1 or 2 bedrooms. It's a fabulous resort right on the beach and easy to get to. We take our girls there every year. Very, very family friendly.

have you tried a vacation rental home that accepts children? some even accept pets. One site i know offhand is www.vrbo.com.

Good Luck!

Well that depends- how long do you want to go for? Do you want to fly or be able to drive? How far are you willing to drive? Etc. The suggestions could be limitless depending on where/how/what of your idea for travelling.

http://www.randmcnally.com has a cool trip planner and explorer feature. You pick a state/town and it tells you things to do.

We made a goal with our kids to go to all 50 states and do something in each state by the time they were 18. Tara is almost 11 and will do her 32nd this summer, Elise is almost 8 and will do her 29th this summer. When Elise was 14 mos old we did a 19 state New England tour. It was so much fun!! We took Tara when she was 26 mos old to Colorado, Wyoming (we fed buffalo!!) and Nebraska. That was great too.

Every state has amazingly cool adventures, so pick a state and explore!!

When my son was 18 months, we visited Naples, Fl. We stayed at the Bellasera Hotel, which was nice because the rooms were almost like condos...having a kitchen is nice when there's a little one. While we were there, we rented a car and visited Corkskrew swamp sanctuary, a little zoo, and Sanibel Island.

I haven't been, but did some research on Myrtle Beach, and that seemed like a good kid friendly place.
