My 3 yr old LOVES this:

All of her friends (and their younger sibs) love to play on it too. It is the best toy I ever bought - and perfect for burning lots of energy!
Hi Moms - Does anyone have a recommendation as to where I could get a good solid (safe) trampoline for a 2 year old. I have seen them where they are square and they have the bar all across the front but don't know where to get them. I'm not looking for the big ones that go outside, this is a toddler one that is barely off the ground. They have one on Leaps and Bounds, but didn't know if anyone had used it. Thanks.

We just got this one for my 4 year old son

Both of my kids (4 and 2) absolutely love it. It plays music and counts their jumps, as well as some other things that we haven't figured out yet. It definitely helps to get their energy out. We just love it.
Hi-
we tried one with a handle for my then 2 year old son, without success. (from Target, rather than Leaps & Bounds). We returned it, and got one from a sporting goods store for about $30. It's been very safe and very solid,(the trampoline is round with padding, and close to the ground, with 5-6 screw-on legs) and we have had no problems with it not having a handle. Both my son, who is very agile and energetic, and my daughter, who has dyspraxia have used it very successfully, and love it. I actually wonder if there would be more injuries with one with a handle?
Here is an excerpt from consumer reports on trampolines. They were ranked as the number one product to avoid buying for your child even if the neighbors, friends, family and others had them and your child pleaded.
"1. Trampolines. A trampoline is an accident waiting to happen. In 2003, the latest year for which data are available, some 98,000 trampoline-related injuries resulted in emergency room visits, according to the federal Consumer Product Safety Commission. At least 6 deaths have been reported since 1990.
Moreover, the American Academy of Pediatrics has characterized trampoline injuries among children as an epidemic, and recommends banning trampolines entirely for home use. Studies have shown that parent education about trampoline risks has not helped reduce the number of injuries.
Other problems with this product include the fact that the rubber in trampolines can degrade when stored outdoors, trampolines are difficult to store and thus easy for children to access without supervision, and they can be particularly risky when used near trees or other objects."
the rest of the list can be found at:

We also have the Jump Smart trampoline. My 4 year old and 2 year old love it, as do friends that come over. Their favorite setting is the one that counts their jumps. They take turns doing 100 jumps.
My 2 year old uses a rectangular trampoline with a bar at his gym class and he jumps so high that it begins to tip. The placement of the bar on this triangular one prevents the tipping problem. I agree that it is one of the best toys we own.
I ordered it online for Christmas. Unfortunately, I don't remember the site, but it was $49.99 with free shipping.
I know this might be contrary to what most people think (and to all of the responses so far), but IS there a such thing as a SAFE trampoline? Did you happen to see America's Funniest Home Videos last night? If not, well, let's just say it was pretty brutal... Good luck!
