My son loves train but we didn't have the money for a table but we discovered Geo tracks and he loves them. I don't know if you have any but thast might be an idea for you.
My son will be 3 in a couple weeks and he is ALL about trains and cars and any other type of vehicle that moves. I want so much to get him a train table and train set but they are so extremely expensive. I am a stay at home mom and can't afford to spend 200.00 on a table. If anyone has one they would be willing to sell to me or if anyone knows someone who has one. I will settle for a used one in pretty good condition. My son wouldn't know the difference and would absolutely LOVE IT!! Please help me if you can. I am running out of time and patience. Thanks.

I know what you mean about not knowing the difference and still being extremely happy about getting his table. I don't have a table, but maybe you could try ebay or craigslist. Good luck!
have you tried www.freecycle.com? it's a website that people ask for and offer free things that are in good shape! Iknow I"ve seen some of those tables mentioned.. you just have to pick up the merchandise, but it's a pretty cool site.. all by location too so you won't have to travel too far..good luck,, my son loves his table!
Hi M., I've seen those table in thrift stores around my area, also look on these websites: www.wickedlocalsearch.com and www.craigslist.com too. Good luck.
Hi M..
Have you tried consignment shops? There are two near me (Children's Orchard in Seekonk, MA and Reruns for little ones in Rehoboth, MA). They usually have lots of good stuff, and it isn't that far from Coventry. I've never noticed if they've had the train tables...my son (3 today!) isn't into trains much. Good Luck! A.
M.,
have you tried looking on e-bay or craigslist.com
I have a train table but unfortunately I am not selling it at this time. But I wanted to let you know where I got it. I am not sure exactly what kind you are looking for but I purchased the Deluxe Canyon Road Train & Track Table with lid from Toys R us.com and it is only $100. My kids love it. I have two boys 2 and 3. The best part is that it is compatible with most all trains, thomas and all, plus works with match box cars or hotwheels. And even better you don't find tracks all over the house. Hope this helps.
I would maybe try a second hand store or something. In Milford, there is a store called the "Children's Orchard", and i think there is another store like that in Natick. Or you can try e-bay??? Just a thought...
Hi M., There is a website called craigslist.com you can find just about everything on here for either free or quite cheap, and you can choose the area wo pick it up. Thought this might be helpful!

I hear you, I am looking for one too... they are much too expensive.
have you tried the uncle henry's....you can get a copy of one at just about any gas station/convience store.
good luck!
you should try craigs list... losts of great things on there... happy hunting

I don't have one, sorry, but try your local freecycle group. Go to Yahoo Groups and look up Freecycle, there is probably one in your area. You can sign up with them and ask. I wouldn't be surprised if there is one floating around that someone doesn't need. The greatest part is by using Freecycle, everything is free. You might also want to check consignment shops. Good luck.
I am not sure if any one has given you this advice but how about looking at tag sales. Some people have daycares at there homes and have tag sales. I am not sure where you are from but in Endfield CT there is a store that buys used children and baby things the stuff is in really good condition. L. (____@____.com
M. how far are you from Weymouth MA. I may be able to help u out
Hi M.,
Depending on how handy you are, have you tried to make one? My husband and I put together a water table (sensory table) for our daughter and it only took a couple of hours, and really inexpensive! There are many sites on the web for make your own things. Try a google search! We found our train set at goodwill for $10 (the 100 piece one) and I think that it originally came from wal-mart for under $40. I don't like to support wal-mart but if you can't find a set anywhere else you can afford you should check them out. Its a really great wooden set!
Have you looked at the Step 2 train table? It runs between $79 (on sale) and $100 regular. My friend bought it for her 3 year old for Christmas and he loves it! I'm actually thinking about it as well as the tracks don't come apart so my son won't pull them apart. It is plastic and I think the train it comes with is pretty cheap but if your son has the Thomas trains already he won't be using that one anyway. I think it's a great alternative to the really expensive $200 wooden sets.
Hi!
I don't have one for you, but I do have two suggestions for where you could look!
1st, check www.craigslist.com You choose your state/region, and then search "train table" or whatever. I've found some great stuff on craigslist.
2nd, try www.freecycle.org and posting a wanted request. You might not hear anything, but if you do - it's free!
Good luck!
i know the milford, ma children's orchard has one (or at least had one last weekend, complete with a set of trains/wooden tracks. i think it was $200.00 for the table AND all the accessories...not positive. i know they get them in every so often, but you can put your name on the wish list and if they get one in, they'll call you.
hope this helps!
