I use the recipe from Hidden Valley Ranch and always get compliments on them. Here is the website for the recipe:

The easiest thing is cream cheese and picante sauce. I use Pace as my preference. You can two different ones, mild and hot so people have a choice.

Another idea is ham rolls. Get some thicker sliced ham and do cream cheese with jalepeno relish or cream chees with green onions.

Good Luck!

This recipe used to be one that was always taken to work potlucks when I was working. Mix cream cheese, Amor dried beef (it comes in a jar usually in the condiment, pickles area) and sliced green onions and spread on flour tortillas and roll up then cut into slices. Yummy, you can't have just one.

Yes, go to Sam's club and buy the frozen kind. I think it is under 9.00 for a big box of them. Thaw them out and put on your own platter. These are delicious! I have seen them at all the stores, you just get a better deal and a bigger box at Sam's club. They have 3 differnt flavors in them too. Much easier and less time consuming.

I did about 500 for a wedding. Here's what I used.
Deli meets from the delicatessen: Black Forest Ham, Turkey and Salami. Then I got 3 cheeses: White American, Monterrey Jack and Provolone. Then I got 4 dressings: A spicy southwestern, Italian spread, Mayo, honey mustard. Then I got several different kinds of flat breads: garden vegetable (the green ones), roasted tomato, and wheat. I prepared by mixing and matching, but definitely had southwestern spicy, Italian and a more neutral version, usually the ham, provolone and honey mustard or mayo.

Hope this gives you some ideas. I have eaten the cream cheese ones at various functions but wanted to do something different for the wedding reception.

Good luck and bon appetite!

Here is another great one -

Spread cream cheese on a flour tortilla. Lay a slice of ham on top and then put a Claussen whole pickle on top of the ham. Roll up, refrigerate and then slice.

The ones from Sams are great, and you don't really spend any more buying them already made. When I want to fix some really quick and easy, I just buy that cream cheese w/ garden vegetable and spread it on flour tortillas, roll em up & slice. They're awesome!

you might want to heat them for a few seconds, cause when you start to roll them they tend to break. smear cream cheese on them and then put thin slice ham or turkey. Roll em up and cut em!!!! Can you tell IM From Texas????

My husband and I just did these for my daughter's birthday party at the end of June. These do NOT have to be fancy and we got tons of compliments on them.

Take a large flour or whole wheat tortilla, put a thin layer of whatever kind of condiment you want (we did some plain, some with mayonnaise and some with ranch dressing), add thin slices of lunch meat (we used roast turkey), thin slices of cheese (we used provolone on some, swiss on some and cheddar on some), green leaf lettuce and thin sliced tomatoes. Roll the tortilla as tightly as you can and then cut in 1 to 1 1/2 inch sections. You can do any variation on these that you like of course. Some without lettuce and tomato if you want, or some without cheese, etc.

We also did some with just picante cream cheese. This is where you take plain softened or whipped cream cheese and mix in the picante sauce (like Pace Picante sauce) until it is easy to spread (I can't give you exact measurements but it's probably one part cream cheese to one part picante or close to that; you want it to stick to the tortilla so not runny of course). Spread the mixture all over one side of the tortilla, roll and slice. To be honest, those were probably the favorites at the party although all of them seemed to be a hit. Just two simple ingredients but they really do taste good.

You can do a lot with the cream cheese versions. You can use jalapeno or rasberry jelly mixed with cream cheese and use that by itself or instead of the mayonnaise or ranch dressing for the "sandwich" pinwheelse. You can even add cocktail sauce and use little salad shrimps or crab meat or some sort of seafood salad if you want to do a seafood pinwheel.

There are so many options and they are so easy. My husband actually made almost all of them for the party and all I had to do was slice and pack them up to go. It was great!

Good luck!

Here is one from the Pampered Chef - you can really use whatever ingredients sound good to you though!
Ingredients:
1 container (8 ounces) light cream cheese spread
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon honey
11/2 cups thinly sliced iceberg lettuce
1 large tomato, seeded and diced
1 medium green bell pepper, diced
6 (8-inch) whole wheat flour tortillas
8 ounces thinly sliced deli ham
3/4 cup (3 ounces) shredded Swiss cheese
6 slices bacon, crisply cooked, drained and crumbled

Directions:
1. Combine cream cheese, mustard and honey in Small Batter Bowl; mix well using Small Mix 'N Scraper®. Slice lettuce and dice tomato and bell pepper using Chef's Knife.

2. Using Medium Scoop, top each tortilla with a level scoop of cream cheese mixture; spread to within 1/4 inch of edge using Small Spreader. Cover with 1/4 cup lettuce, pressing lightly. Place two ham slices over lettuce. Grate 2 tablespoons cheese over ham using Deluxe Cheese Grater. Top evenly with tomato, bell pepper and bacon.

3. Roll up each tortilla tightly. To serve, cut each wrap diagonally in half with Serrated Bread Knife.

Yield: 6 servings or 24 sample servings

i use the large flour tortillas but you can use the herb or flavored kind too....i take cream cheese (softened) & mix in whatever you want. like ham (lunch meat ham cut into small peices & mixed into cream cheese) & sliced black olives. or diced tomato & chicken...really you can use whatever you want just dice it small & mix in with the softened cream cheese, & spread over tortilla thinly...you want to cover the edges so they stay rolled but dont put too much in the middle bc when you roll it up it will smush out the edge, & the slice with sharp knife.
good luck i hope this helped!
