Anyone had in office tooth whitening? I belive its laser whitening.. If so, how were your results and how much money did it cost? And where did you go? I'm not happy with my smile anymore (and I love to smile), so I'm considering having my teeth whitened. I dont smoke or anything.. They are just yellowed a bit.. so I wanna freshen em up! Any advice would be appreciated ! !

So What Happened?

Thanks a bunch for all the responses. I'm still looking around, and since i'm going on a cruise on the end of May I think I may try the premium whitestrips and if I want whiter, going to have the laser surgery.. Thanks!!

Crest Advanced Whitening Premium. The 10 day one. You can stop at anytime during it if your teeth get sesitive, and start again when you are ready. I don't smoke or drink coffee, but I love Green Tea and Red Wine. I, again, love my smile. By the way, the box says to leave on for 20 or 30 minutes, I would leave mine on as long as I could. The box is $20 at Wal-Mart. Good Luck!

Hi J.,
I go to Sattlebrook Dentistry off of White Settlement Road and they off FREE whitening! They make you a set of trays (top and bottom) with your first consultation/cleaning and they give you tubes of whitening gel with every 6 mo cleaning. They are very nice and thorough! My teeth are incredibly white, I actually get compliments all of the time and it has made my face appear (haha) younger… really!

Good Luck!
E.

My best friend is a dental hygenist. I don't know what it costs to do laser whitening, but you can have your dentist make you trays that you wear at night while you sleep that you put gel into that whitens your teeth overnight. The gel costs only about $30 and lasts a week or so (you don't need more than that). I would look into several options at different dentists before paying for laser whitening. My husband and I did the dental tray whitening before our wedding and our smiles looked great in our pictures! ;o)
Best of luck,
K.

I did the laser or (light) whitening in my dentist's office. I think it was 500 plus dollars. The results were very very good. However, it made my teeth incredibly sensitive. While it has subsided a great deal it still pops up here and there. I don't even do the follow up tray bleaching because I don't want to deal with the sensitivity. So if you do it, ask a lot of questions about the sensitivity issue. I probably would not do it again, knowing what I know now, until I had given the white strips option a good try.

I work for a dentist. The laser whitening works pretty well, but the products used today do not need the laser to work. The in-house whitening is okay, but your teeth will get yellow again, so the best route is to get bleaching trays (impressions/molds) made at your DDS & then bleach for abt 2 wks - once you are as white as you want to be, you will only have to bleach every few months (touch-ups). If you cannot afford the trays, then the bleaching strips (Crest) work pretty well - get from the dentist to get the professional strength. good luck!

I had the same problem a few years ago and I bought Crest White Strips and I was extremely satisfied with the results. Within a couple days of using them I started noticing my teeth getting whiter. They are definitely worth the money and probably cheaper then going to the dentist.
