Tooth Pulled.. When Wil I Get Used to This "Fliipper"?

I had a front molar pulled today. They put me on a "flipper" which is basically a retainer with one fake tooth on it. It's really annoying. When will I get used to it? I can take it out at night, and to eat... It's only been since today, but I'm taking funny and can't eat right!

What can I do next?

Must be hard to get used to...I had busted a tooth on a jaw breaker...and so, had to get something like that. Only thing is mine is cemented in...
Doesn't matter though. At first it felt so completely foreign in my mouth!! Wow.....now, I don't notice it at all. Takes time..that's all.

Hang in there! I just said goodbye to a molar a week and a half ago, and next month I'll be meeting something like your gizmo, except that it will be permanent. My dentist said that once it's in, I'll need to give myself at the very least a couple of weeks to get used to this weird turn of events.

I think this depends on your personality. I'm OCD and they put a bridge in my mouth last Nov (2009). I hate it!!! To this day it bugs me!

How long it takes is different for each person. How long does it usually take for you to get used to change. For me, I'd guess, I'd be mostly accepting or used to it within a week or so.
