Ther is really no way to stop her but, to catch her every time. It is usually a phase that they go through. Time will pass just be patient and keep reminding her not to put things in her mouth. That is just anothe way for her to explore things

I'm a preschool teacher and I had a child in my class that would put everything in her mouth. It helped to have something that was ok to let her put in her mouth (we called it a chewy), that way she knew "that is not allowed in your mouth but this is ok". Sometimes children have an oral fixation and use their mouth to explore. I didn't want to discourage this child from exploring, I just wanted her to do it safely.
Hope that helps :)

My daughter still puts things in her mouth and when we ask her what she has, she takes it out, throws it, and runs away like she didn't really have anything at all. I think it's just a phase and though it it stressful because it could cause serious injury, I think you just have to keep an eye on her and eventually she'll grow out of it.

How old is she? If she's closer to two, then this habit should be falling off on its own eventually. But babies put things in their mouths...that's how they learn about the world...My kid put everything...EVERYTHING...in her mouth until she was about 18months old. I just let her do it. She'll grow out of it eventually...Just remember that that is how she is learning about her environment...

How old is the child? It depends on the age...
But a few of these should work...
1)Tell her/him that the hands are dirty & they have germs... and if he/she doesn't want to get sick & go to the doctor, then they have to keep the hands out of the mouth...
2)Everytime they put the hands in the mouth, put vinegar on one of the fingers and put it back in the mouth...(they won't like the taste)
Good Luck...

I don't think you will be able to put a stop to this :o(, mouthing is how babies and toddlers explore the world. It is very natural for them to put everything in their mouths, you just have to be careful as to what is left around for them to take.

Its just a phase they go through. You just have to say no and and be firm. And keep anything away that can hurt her.

You can't stop her. She is learning through her mouth. Just make sure she is safe at all time - do not leave her alone in a dangerous situation. Offer her safe toys/foods.

She's probably teething. My daughter puts everything in her mouth. If it's something that's not suppose to I just pull it out and say dirty.
