Too Slow for Me

I get these blank pages when I do nothing? Anyone get that? I'll be reading a question and today my screen just goes blank - just the webpage, I can still see the tabs at the top - and then it all reappears ... like magic.Very odd.

Yes, super slow. And now I have adblocker and google Chrome so it's not the ads.

Pain.

I was notified at last minute that a group of teenage boys will be filming a video for school in my kitchen today. So I will go scrub my kitchen.

Interesting. Yes, sometimes it's slow but really all that often. I just quit and come back later. I learned to clear all my pages. Too many open pages will slow downloads. Sometimes my answer disappears. Often, it's because my finger slipped to the "cancel" button or I slip off that page. A couole of times I went out of the site entirely. When I go onto another page, i get my answer back by once more clicking answer the question once I'm back to the question. (I only use my phone and am usually doing something else at the same time. Then my phone slips.) I've never had a blank screen.

Also, I'm not on the site everyday. In fact, i'm not even on the site every week. When I am on site, it's usually for a couple of hours; sometimes more. Maybe I'm just lucky? Maybe the mobile app works better?

I don't mind just leaving the site when I have difficulty. I am definitely a multitasker. There is always something else to do. In my younger years, I swear I could do "six" things at once. Now I can rarely do more than 2. lol

i thought it was just me...but my computer is brand new with 4 Gig of RAM....so I don't think it's my computer...

Well, I was doing fine until I read your post. Now it's poking along on 3 different questions, and I've quit and restarted my browser twice.

You are insanely funny today and I needed the laughs. I thought it was just my computer acting up again. Nice to know I'm not alone. Today to pass the time I'm actually working on a special project and waiting for a call back to be able to continue forward on my assignment.

I hate it when you "attempt" to post to an answer and the screen does not show what you have typed for about a minute or it loses it and you have to start over again.

Perhaps we should get a garden icon so we know that they are tending to our flowers and we should appreciate the blooms when completed. HAHAHA. I am sorry for the sarcastic jab today.

I noticed that too. Mike says it's fixed but mine is still hanging a little longer than my taste.

S., thanks for bringing this issue to my attention. The tech team has been working on it this morning and are now happy to report that it is resolved. Mike, FYI, I'm posting after you, and it's still really really slow for me. Not back to normal.

And S., what do I do while the page loads? Tap my foot impatiently while saying "come ON" to myself.

Some days are like that ...

I have learned that copying and keeping a running copy of what I'm about to post is important if I don't want to retype it over and over...lol.
