Ladies, I was wondering if anyone has ever participated in any paid surveys on the internet? I come across them all the time talking about how you can make hundreds to thousands of dollars extra a month for your opinion . Sounds too good to be true huh? If anyone knows anything about these surveys, please let me know

What can I do next?

Hey ladies. Thank you sooo much for all your responses. I don't think I'm going to mess with the survey's. I knew I could count on "my girls" to help me out. I'm really glad I found this website. Until another situation, talk to everyone later!

Hey S.. I did get involved with that while I was in school, but never got paid for lots and lots of time. I do think it is too good to be true.
However, if you are looking for extra income - as all moms are I believe - I have something that I think you can use....especially given your job. I don't want to use this for an advertisement, because I find that morally incorrect. However, I recently got involved with a company and the compensation is very nice and the product sells like hotcakes.
Just email me directly if you'd like more information. I'd stay away from the surveys.

I haven't come across one about thousands of dollars extra a month for your opinion. But I have come across ones for a free LV purse. i couldn't believe it and jumped at it.

They ask you a bunch of question (like, do you need a mtg refinance, are you interested in coupons, redesigning yur home, etc). They're trying to get your name and address to send you spam mail. Then they force you to sign up for things, like Columbia House DVD's, Book Club, etc. After you do that for like 20-30 minutes, the last step was to sign up for 2/6 options. They were all expensive. The ones I was looking at was buy $1,500 of furniture from this website, and agree to design your home with this product. By then, I was livid. B/c I'd wasted 30 minutes, was going to get immense spam mail, and had signed up for 4 different clubs.

Plus the computer remembers you and records whether you go throug with your agreements and then "they send you the beautiful LV bag."

So, I doubt it.

I have tried doing those with no luck at all. I currently work from home and love it. We don't do any selling, no inventory, no parties, plus you really do get paid! If you are interested please visit my website at http://www.themomteam.com/pamrose and request more information!

I do the online surveys, and have for the last couple of years, and have only received about $40. Although, the company I go through has implemented a new system where you can accumulate points to earn more cash.

To my opinion, it IS too good to be true. I signed up for several of them. I even paid $30+ to be a member of one of them. Well the result is... they don't pay you anything. They may if you really spend 80 hours per week doing it, but not like I did - part time 4-5 hours a day. The company I paid to be a member said I would get refind if I am not satisfied with it, but no, they did not. I contacted them to get refund, and they don't get back with you and of course, no refund.
As you suspected... it was too good to be true (at least it was to me)...
Sorry, but I don't want you to waste your time and money like I did.

Most online surveys dont pay out. But there is one out there that pays $5 a survey and they pay pal you. Only problem is you have to be invited by them and you do about one survery a month. My kids do kidseyez.com and they both have recieved a check. I like to do mypoints.com and have recieved several gift cards from them.

I never did any that pay hundreds per month.

I've checked into these several times. I would like to believe that with a good effort these could be a lucrative business, but I doubt it. Most of the surveys take upwards of 5 minutes to get through and then you earn $0.50 or something ridiculous. Meanwhile your toddler has just unrolled all the toilet paper, gotten herself a cookie, and emptied the dog's water dish all over the floor. It seems to me like there is way too much effort put in and not enough pay back. I suggest you look for something else.

Hi there S.,

I have made a couple of bucks on the internet doing surveys. It really was a couple of bucks every couple of months though. I spent hours upon hours doing surveys too. It really wasn't worth it for me. You have to be careful about which survey company too. I was scammed and lost some money once. :( Please be careful.

If you are looking for an opportunity to work from home, I'd be happy to chat with you about my home based business. Just let me know if you are interested. No pressure!

Good luck!

I have done surveys for quite a while now (I started in HS so I think I've done them for about 12 years now!). My advice- if they EVER ask you to purchase anything- it's not legit. If they are reputable ones, they will not require you to buy anything. You can always check them out on the BBB website as well. It will tell you all about them. A few I recommend- Harris Poll Surveys, MySurvey.com, & American Family Opinion. I belong to a few others as well (just can't remember all right now!). I get gift certificates, checks, and all kinds of things. Just keep in mind- it takes a while to get quite a few surveys (they want to make sure you are trustworthy as well!). I really enjoy it so I hope you do too! :)

I'm on several different mailing lists for surveys. This month I've earned a $50 check from one & several little checks ($5 or $6). Last month, I used my points from one survey site to get my daughter an MP3 Player for her birthday. Also, my kids love getting things in the mail to try & evaluate - usually cereal, snack foods, dinner kits, etc.

I don't think I could ever make hundreds to thousands, but we definitely have fun with our little prizes & fun money!

Don't even open these advertisements! I know from experience. I did and within a week my computer totally crashed and the hard drive was fried. During that time I got like 500 something bulk emails--all junk. It was a nightmare and I will never do it again.

I've been doing random surveys on surveyspot.com, greenfieldonline.com, and your2cents.com and you can make some money, when you qualify for the survey. Overall I think I've made $200 and got to try random things (graham crackers, pads, fabric softeners, toilet paper) in a year? It really isn't much for the time you put in but it can give you something to do differently? If any of the sites ask you for money, it's usually a scam. These websites aren't always for money but you get entered into random drawings (which I've never won, surprise!) that potentially, you could make more money.

hi, i participate in online surveys and also a local company that pays out cash for marketing research studies. i try to stay away from online surveys that offer cash because they usually want too much personal information, but there are a few that offer money that they put in an "account". then you just spend that "money " on prizes that they offer, airline tickets, magazine subscriptions, discounts at certain stores, etc. .The local surveys pay out cash for your time and are really easy. you might want to check into a local marketing research company.
hope that helps
take care

You can get paid to do internet surveys, but it is very time consuming, and you don't really get much. Whatever you do, DO NOT pay anyone to give you a list of websites. All you have to do is search for paid internet surveys, and you will get more survey sites than you'll ever be able to use. Also, it seems like every survey site leads you to 10-20 more. I made the mistake of paying someone, and all it did was give me a list of the free sites I could have found easily doing a search with Google, I was just sick over it. Good luck!

I tried something like that a few years ago. After a couple of months, I decided it wasn't worth it. It took a long time for the points to add up, and the surveys eded up taking a really long time. I'd advise against it due to the slow results. Be a secret shopper instead. I have a few friends who've done that and liked it. Hope this helps.
