Too Cute

I am compensating for my negative posts by sharing a moment of imaginative cuteness.

We have a CD in the car that has "Alice the Camel" on it. Today my daughter asked if camels humps filled with water move! I felt so proud at her thought process and of course I didn't know the answer so I told her that was a great question and we should ask a zoo keeper. Then I looked it up online and found that the answer was no.

So what did your kid do to astound you today?

What can I do next?

My son's girlfriend (they are both twenty) posted a photo of him hauling up live crabs on a boat outside of Seattle. She said he not only caught the crabs but was preparing them for dinner as well.
I thought it was "cute" and I was certainly "proud" because this was a kid who wouldn't touch a piece of shellfish or seafood until he was well into his teens.
Funny how leaving home and falling in love will open a person up :-)
And of course I love the fact that he cooks for his girlfriend, there's nothing more romantic than that, is there?
He's such a good boy!!!

My 6 year old told me her favorite part of her fieldtrip was seeing a cow pee in a field. She was very adamant about it. :)

My 2 year old LOVES Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, he asked me to sing the "Mr. Roger's song" to him and I told him to sing it to me. So he belted out "It's a beeeaaauutiful day in the neeiiiighhborhoooood, a beautiful day in the neeighbooorhoooooood, won't you beeee miiiiiiiine?" all on his own. I didn't know he could even pronounce the words well enough, and he was even on key (kind of)!

Glad to hear you celebrating the positive ;-) Such moments are just as important if not more so than the daily grind.

My son (age 6) was asking me if he could have something (I don't even recall what it was because I was focusing on something else at the time.) Before he could even give me a chance to reply he says, "Let me guess, "NO!" I think the kid's finally learning how things work around here ;-)

My 18.5 yr old moved into her own condo and I'm surprised and pleased with how well she has an eye for decoration and colors. Plus.. She painted most of the paintings which are hung on her walls and I had no idea she had that type of talent in her! She never ceases to amaze me.

My biggest amazement will be to see how spotless it stays since I know the history of her cleaning her room and bathroom! I get to see next week when I'm off the crutches!!
