Hello. It seems I am older than everyone here, as I got a late start into Mommyhood. I am 34 and have two kids one year apart (ages 2 and 1). I think we should have a daytime playgroup and also one that meets in the evening. Of course, everyone would be welcome to both. I am willing to host the first daytime Toledo playgroup at my house, if you all are interested! I live in Holland, (is that too far for anyone???) and I don't live in a mansion, nor do I have a housekeeper (other than myself!) but I would like to make some friends too (I am very young at heart)! I do have pets and if that is an issue, please let me know. I would hide the pets of course, if desired, but I know some adults and children have allergies. Nonetheless, I am willing to start this thing off. This would have to be a morning adventure because my kids take their long nap in the afternoon. Please respond if you are interested and which day of the week and a time that suits you all. I was thinking every other Thursday from 9:45am-11??? It could be earlier, if desired, I know those one-year-olds still need a morning nap! Perhaps Thursday, Feb. 22 could be the first one? The first one would be just an icebreaker with coffee/tea, bagels and other easy breakfast items. We could just talk and watch the kids play and make plans for our other meetings! Any takers?

I would be interested in an evening playdate, I watch kids from my home so I cant really go anywhere during the day since I dont have enough room in my car, not that Im brave enough to take all the kids out in public myself! haha! So if an evening event ever comes of this I would love to join you all....or if you are looking for someone to host a playdate I would be up for that as well...I also dont have a huge house but we have enough space to chat and play :) We live in South Toledo...I have a 2 year old son and Im 16 weeks pregnant with baby number two. Would love to meet other moms in the area Let me know if I can do anything to help :)

Another Mom and I are trying to put one together too. As of right now it is just her and I but we don't care about that. I do work full time during the day so I wouldn't be able to make that one, but if you interested please let me know. We were thinking of rotating houses or something, it's all still in the works. Pets for me are not a problem, I have 2 cats also. I have 2 little girls ages 6 & 1. I am 26 years old any dying for some other adult lady interaction!
Hey, G.! Honey, you are not old. Please, 34 is YOUNG!!! You should not describe yourself as "young at heart" until you are at least 60 or something. HA!
