Ok ... I do my best to go green so I have been doing green cleaning for a while. I have gotten the bowl where the water sits very clean but I was wondering what I can do for the stains that are in the toilet bowl but not covered in water? Any suggestions?

Thanks

What can I do next?

Rubber gloves and Mr.Clean magic eraser? Failing that, it's probably not "green" but the Lysol brand toilet cleaner with the black label gets everything off! (mildew, lime, rust etc)

Shaklee's scour off is green and works great. You can use it without gloves as it will not hurt you it's non-toxic, biodegradable and contains no phosphates.

If the stains are due to hard water, you can try drywall sandpaper. It looks like sheets of stiff window screen fabric. Works great.

Another thing y ou can try is a pumice stone. They come under various names. It's just a piece of pumice about 6" x 1 1/2" x 1". Some come with a handle. You find them at the grodery store or OSH and the like. Wet the stone and rub the stain. They last a long time and are harmless to the environment and kids.

Spray white vinegar and then sprinkle with borax and scrub with super fine drywall sandpaper. You won't believe how well this works! Makes you almost excited to attack stains cause you know they have NO chance! LOL
