I want to purchase some toddler tunes for my little girl. I have searched on Amazon and I am finding tons of different CDs. Can anyone suggest some good ones for me to purchase?
I really like "Fisher Price Little People: Sing Along Favorites". It has almost every classic kid song ever made. I got it because my kiddo was singing songs I couldn't remember the words to and she loves it. And it's slightly less irritating to my nerves than some of the other kid music out there.
For sale at Walmart in the baby aisle-there's one of those CD displays where you can listen to samples before buying.

What TV shows does she watch? I found by watching Noggin that they feature Laurie Burkner a lot, so I purchased her CD, my daughter loves her and requests her often. Just pay attention to who the featured artists are on her favorite programs, she will recognize them and be happy that she can sing along and know the words.

Anything by Kindermusik is fantastic - and developmentally appropriate. I love them because there are samples of music from lots of genres and cultures and they are themed so if your toddles has particular interests - you can usually find one that fits.

I really recommend the Cedarmont Kids collection!! Our girls, ages 4 1/2 and 2, both LOVE them. They have quite a few different cd's and dvd's to pick from and the songs are just fantastic for little ones. They also have a lullaby cd collection for babies that is very sweet.
The Wiggles!!!!!!!!! "Yummy Yummy" is my son's favorite CD. My baby seemes to love the catchy tunes too. You may also want to sign up for http://www.brightervision.com/ It is a monthly package. Each month you get a book, an activity "workbook", a small toy and a CD all centering around an educational theme. It is about $18.00 a month including shipping. The CDs are our favorite part. There are some great songs on them. The books are great too. Some of my son's favorites came from them.

OK, a FANTASTIC group is Go Fish (look up www.gofishguys.com for more info). Their music is for kids, but it's music that my husband and I will even listen to when the kids aren't with us. Some of their songs are just silly, and some are really cool re-arrangements of common bible school or nursery songs. Their most recent CD, Snazzy has a hip-hop style version of Itsy Bitsy Spider that's great (sounds weird, but it's not, you just have to listen to it!) We have 3 of their CD's and really enjoy them.

My kids absolutely loved the veggie tales cd's with their names in them. I know that you can order them on-line but there is a kiosk in Grapevine mills that we have bought them from as well. They are really cute and they LOVE hearing the veggie tales say their names.

Laurie Berkner. You have to listen too and her songs are enjoyable to adults (and quite funny for children).

Dan Zane is great. We also love They Might Be Giants ( the album is called No!). A band called the Asylum Street Spankers released a kid's album called Mommy Says No! that is just amazing. We listen to that one over and over and I really like it too.
