I am looking to enroll my 2 year old son in some type of toddler program - along the line of a tumbling class, etc. Since he is not in daycare or preschool we want to socialize him with other cildren his age. Any ideas of suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Hi K.,

The Banana Factiry in Bethlehem has a art & music toddler program with Hannah Banana in the Sunshine studio that I took my daughter to up until about a year ago. There is no registration, you just show up and there is a $10.00 fee when you get there. Hope this helps!

Hi K.,

Try little star studio. They have classes in Forks and also the Palmer Community Center. I think the tumble class is at 4:30 or 5:30 on Mondays and they have other classes also. Check out www.littlestarstudio.com

Good luck!

I have a 2 year old daughter and have a similar situation. I stay home with her all day so she doesn't go to daycare. I began taking her to classes at the Little Gym when she was 18 months old. She is terrified of other children and I was concerned that she would not do well in preschool because of it. She was scared at first but has really opened up after a few months. The Little Gym is wonderful. The teachers are great and the format is fun. The classes are mommy and me until the age of 3, then the child would go by themselves. The class has music and singing, and then time to learn skills like rolling, hanging on bars, walking on the balance beam, jumping, etc. They also play with balls and bubbles every class. I can't believe the changes I see in my daughter. She went in there an extremely shy, clingy child, and she now runs around the gym without me with confidence. It's wonderful. There are 2 locations in the Lehigh Valley, one in Macungie (where I go) and one in Bethlehem Twp (which I think is actually in Easton). Check out the website for the specifics. They offer classes during the day and also evenings and Saturdays. And the first class is free! I know I sound like a Little Gym commercial, but it is a really great program. Hope this helps!
