lol - you could always send dad to daycare with her.
Help. My hubby broke his ankle, so our daughter had to go to daycare. She started on Monday, but will not eat while she is there. When I pick her up she's starving, and will only drink milk once I get her in the SUV. Then, she will only eat a little bit at home. It's been a week. When I dropped her off this morning, I gave her a bottle of milk. She took a sip, but looked at the provider, and stopped drinking. I took her in another area, and she finished her bottle. She cries when I leave, and cries when I pick her up. What do I do? I hate leaving her there, but I can't be off work for an extended period of time. My hubby will not be ambulatory for at least another month.

Could you hire someone to watch her in your home so Dad can be there with her and supervise so to speak. Maybe that would make her more comfortable especially since it is just a temp situation.

K.,
I am a daycare provider and this sentance caught my eye and bothered me. It sounds almost like she is afraid to eat/drink in front of this provider, unless I am misunderstanding this sentance. I would look into hiring someone to come to your house if this contiunes, I would also encourage her to eat and drink when you drop her off everyday.

We had a copy of the menu, and when there were things that my son didn't like, I was allowed to provide sealled jars of food: meat sticks, veggie chunks, etc.
For the mornings, is it possible for you to take her a bit earlier, then you could sit with her while she ate her morning snack/breakfast?
