Today's Vaccinations - What to Do??

I'm so tormented with all the controversy over today's vaccinations. My daughter is due for her 2 month check up so this is where the vaccine schedule really starts as she will be due for 5 vaccines. I'd like to get feedback from other mom's and if they did follow the CDC schedule or implemented an individualized schedule for their children. It's not that I don't want to vaccinate her, but I just think the schedule is excessive and should be more spaced out, but its hard to find pediatrician's that will accomodate this concept.

I'd also like to know if they experienced any effects - short or long term... There just has to be an explanation for the explosion of health issues our children are facing today... Not just referring to autism... but others like add/adhd or even allergies.

Just looking for feedback and statistics of other moms out there.

Thanks!!

L., I believe it is commendable that you are concerned with what goes into your child's body. I personally believe that a two month old child's body, and especially the brain, is too undeveloped to handle the huge onslaught that vaccines provide when administered at that tender age.

Here's a link to a recent video which should allow you to see that you are not alone in questioning today's vaccination procedures.
Besides this link, you can also look right here on Mammasource for the same topic posted a few times previously, and the answers received. I also included several links in those posts.

BTW, in the video which I have linked today, there is a segment by Dr. Eric Rydland. He is right here in Miami and was my son's pediatrician. My son is now an adult. The Dr. is a very nice person and extremely knowledgeable in traditional as well as alternative or holistic medicine. You may want to se if you can make an appointment with him, or if he's to solidly booked then perhaps the office can recommend another pediatrician that follows his protocols.

I hope these things help you in arriving at a decision you will feel good about.

Hello L. ,

I have two Boys 6 year old and 2 year old and I followed the CDC Schelued for their Imunizations niether of them had any side effects from their vaccine . I have read some of the reseach pertainig Imunizations , but I rather be safe than sorry . Varicella , Mumps , Hepatitis and even menengitis none of those are good to contract . 5 Vaccines at a time may seem a bit uncomfortable for a few minutes but it is peace of mind for me , This is my humble opinion . I based it on the greater % contracting thesse deseases if you are not vaccinated .

L., Did you know vaccines contain mercury and other deadly toxins? Dr. Mercola has a website that would educate you on vaccines so that you can make an intelligent decision about even vaccinating at all. I certianly would opt out of it if it were my child. You can for religious reasons.

I would look into the healthy benefits of essential fatty oils- like fish oil & flax seed oil, etc. I think these help with healthy brain development and that more & more is being found that they help with and help prevent ADHD/ADD, autism, allergies, etc...

I vaccinate my kids. this can turn into a HOT topic, so I hope it won't get to be, here on this board. Just research all you can. www.askdrsears.com is an excellent resource. I think dr sears lays out a schedule for spreading out vaccinations.

Hope this helps!

Well I personnaly think the benefits of being vaccinated far out weigh the negative outcomes that people have experienced. My son is 2yrs 8mths , and my daughter is 14months - I have vaccinated them both p to this point following the recommendations of the CDC and I have never exeperienced any adverse reactions , not even fever or crankyness - but that was my experience.
