Toaster Oven Recommendations?

My trusty Black & Decker Spacemaker is failing and I'm unreasonably bummed out about it! The top element no longer works, so I really have an oven and not a toaster. I do love the fact that it's mounted under the cabinet, leaving counter space below.

I did a quick on-line search and found similar ovens for $94-$150. More than I had hoped to spend. I contacted Black & Decker via email (who responded within 24 hours as promised - nice surprise) to ask if it could be repaired (which I doubted) and to ask if the new units would fit my existing mounting hardware/heat shield so I could at least save a good chunk of change on that. While the woman was very nice, she basically said that the heating unit is not replaceable/repairable and that the new ovens are a different size so I'd need the whole thing - oven plus mounting unit.

So, since I'm now open to all brands, I thought I'd ask you all what you recommend for price, reliability, and ease of cleaning. It's just my husband and me most of the time, so I'm not doing entire chickens or rotisserie or anything like that - mostly toasting and baking, occasional top-browning.

TIA.

What can I do next?

Whenever I'm going to buy a new small appliance or any kind of home electronics I go on Amazon and read the reviews, even if I'm not going to buy it on Amazon. You'll get TONS more reviews there than you will here!

Seems like we have a million, more like 20, toaster ovens in this office. All different brands, all different sizes. Thing is none of them have broken or had any issues. Some of them are older than death, okay at least 15 years old.

When we opened the new office space where I am one of my coworkers bought a black and decker for 25 bucks. It works just fine though that one is only 2 years old so it hasn't passed the test of time like the other ones have. Still I am not walking around to find out what else we have here so take this for what you think it is worth. I think all toaster ovens that don't have all that computer stuff in them will last pretty long.

Breville makes several different options, which vary in size, functions, etc., priced from about $150 - $250. (Some even include a slow-cook feature, toasting, browning, confection, etc.) Breville makes a really good, reliable product that you won't be disappointed with.

My first toaster oven was fantastic and it was Kitchen Aid. It still works great, I passed it to my daughter.

I uograded 2 years ago to a Breville and love it more!! This one has a larger oven area and is better for casseroles, etc. I do not use my regular oven at all. It was at Bed Bath and Beyond for about $300 and I used the 20% coupon.

My toaster oven went kaput. I decided to buy a toaster and a counter top convection oven. I haven't started using it so can't comment on using it. I do enjoy my regular toaster much more than the toaster oven.

I have been really satisfied with Breville and Cuisinart. Definitely cannot recommend DeLonghi. I was really disappointed in that brand.

I'd read the amazon.com reviews. That's my go-to on things like this.
