To the Young Mom's

I had my son shortly after I turned 21 and gained around 80 pounds give or take some. Its taken me the full 3 years to get to where I was before I had him. I was just wondering where all the young mom's shop for clothes. I don't fit into most juniors since they're made for teens with no curves or boobs. But I don't want to wear clothes that my mother would wear. I mostly shop at Fashion Bug, but they are kinda expensive if theres no sales. Any & all ideas are wanted. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Marshall's, Meijer's, Kohl's, consignment shops, online (Chadwick's, Shopgoodwill.com, Newport News, even eBay you can find some real inexpensive stuff to your liking).

Consignment shops and rummage sales at churches are going to be your best, least expensive bet. Red Shield/Salvation Army stores. You can buy a pair of jeans for .25, with a lot of wear still in them. Depends on if one can set aside being in someone else's cast offs. But for the bargain hunter, it's amazing what can be found.

I second the Old Navy! I've been shopping there for forever. I'm 24 as well and am still working on losing my baby weight. (The 9 months on, 9 months off saying is a lie!) Old Navy's website always has some good deals also. They have cute kids clothes too.

I mostly shop at places like Value World and the Salvation Army. If you want to go a little higher-end than that, try Deb. They're a junior's store, but they're geared more toward women and girls who aren't a size zero and shaped like a plank. Most of their basic stuff is on sale most of the time. They have pricier stuff, too, but I guess it costs more to look ridiculous. ;) Also, try Kohl's clearance rack. Their women's clothing is stylish but spendy, but their clearance prices are really good. I've also had decent luck with the clearance racks at Sears and JC Penney.
If you want to go really low-budget, get your friends together and do a clothing swap. It's a great way to get rid of clothes you never wear and get new clothes, and aything that's left over can be donated. I've inherited a lot of clothes that way.
Good luck with your shopping!

If you shop thru my web portal, you can earn cash back rewards for each purchase. Who doesn't need cash back? I always shop thru it at Woman Within/Lane Bryant as they have cute clothes designed for a woman's body!

Have fun!

PS: Congrats on the weight loss!

Old Navy is great, and fairly inexpensive. I shopped there before, during and after my pregnancy and always found great buys:)
