I suggest that he's the one who is having symptoms; therefore he's the one who needs to be going to the doctor. Yes, the cause may be superficial but it could also be internal, a condition he has within his body.
So here is a tmi question for you ladies my hubby said that his scrotum burns during and after sex...just his scrotum nothing else..
I dont have any burning our itching and no odor any ideas on what could be happening cause its affecting our sex life I have
A appointment coming up for my annual I was just wanting suggestions before hand I am going to talk to the doc when I go
Ok so as far as shaving I am trimmed short but not bald and no he doesn't shave..he says it doesn't burn when we are in the shower...he says the only thing that burns is his sack..i would think that if it was my hormones more then just his sack would burn..no condoms we have tried lube we have tried dalis instead of lube same result
Ok so thanks for all the input keep it coming cause I am going to show him the posts..not very often cause of this burning thing to answer the how often question..and as far as stress goes yeah things have been stressful he is the only on working due to me having rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia not to mention day care is to expensive with two kids

How old is he? By that, I mean, how much do his nuts hang? (Hey, TMI question, TMI answer)... does he shave? Do YOU shave? The day or two after shaving, either of you, could cause some serious irritation from the short hair growth... position matters too, he's more prone to friction being on top, you on your back on the bottom.
Now, if he's burning internally, and/or the pain spreads to the patch of skin between his scrotum and his anus, he could have a hernia or blockage of sorts. Is this ONLY if he climaxes? Does putting pressure on the area increase or decrease his discomfort?
My bet is either on external irritation caused by friction, or on an internal issue, such as a common testicular hernia.
Hope he feels better and you get back to knocking boots soon! ;)
It's too bad men don't have a doctor to go to that specializes in external hanging gentitalia. I mean, I LOVE having a gyno I can go to and keep my own doc as blissfully ignorant as I pretend he is. (There's a letter of consent, he can look at my obgyn chart to his heart's content... but I can PRETEND at least ;)
It's PROBABLY something that happens when the scrotum tightens (as it does to a degree during any part of sex, and to an extreme degree right before ejaculation... hint... if you ever want to know he's close, look for that sudden tigtening and suggest baseball stats). It's 'worse' even than jumping in a cold pool. MAJOR shrinkage. So it's PROBABLY something that is getting irritated as the skin contracts. But WHAT is getting irritated is a rather lengthy list:
yeast infection / jock itch
asymptomatic yeast infection (only burns or itches on contact)
bacterial infection
ingrown hair(s)
common testicular hernia
vericose vein(s)
allergy / contact dermatitis
etc
Then there's something called 'referred pain'... which essentially means the nerves get messed up on the way to the brain. Abdominal cancer can present as shoulder or leg pain... a twisted testicle (or hernia, or pulled muscle, or enlarged prostate, etc. something INSIDE) can present as an itch or burn on skin on the scrotum, navel, left ear even. Pain can move about either a little, or quite a bit. Especially when there's either OTHER pain, or other pleasure going on. Mixed signals.
LOL - I loved the frankness of the question and the responses back. Made my day!!!
Could be a lot of things, most of them simple like the other mama's have said: dry skin, different lotion or lube, etc. Sounds like HE'S the one who needs a visit to the doc though, not you.
Does he shave? Do you use a lube or condoms? He could just be sensitive to your hormones in your business... good luck! And it could be friction too..
Are you eating/drinking foods/beverages you don't normally eat/drink? A change in the ph of your fluids could be the answer (since he doesn't burn when you guys make it in the shower - where water rinses your fluids off of him). Just an idea.
I agree - he's the one with the issue - he needs to see the doctor. Maybe something is going on with him - hernia, a twist?? Could be mental, too. Is he stressed out?
Didn't read other posts, sorry if I repeat. May be a blood vessel issue, within his scrotum. Just a thought. He may need to see a urologist, for a U/S.
Maybe it's just a simple case of road rash from repetitive movement. It's winter time so his skin is likely to be dry and thus get irritated quickly. Does he put a non scented lotion on his man parts? If not I would suggest it.
I am thinking winter equals dry skin and dry skin burns like well a burn. My husband had never even thought of using lotion on his back that cracked and peeled and itched all winter looking like an alligator hide. He would just be miserable scratching against the walls like a bear.
I introduced him to lotion and voila no more dry cracking burning skin all winter.
Try lotion after showering...a unscented "manly" lotion...and if that doesn't help get thee man to a doctor!!!
my husband has an issue similar to what you are describing. I cannot remember the name of it, but it has to do with the blood vessels within that area, there is a medical name for it. A Urologist can help. There is a surgery that can be done if it's really bad, but that recovery might be more painful than the issue itself if it's not too severe.
