Your anti-depressent could be causing the change. I think being tired is a side effect to many medications. Check with your Dr and see if there is another med you can try.
Good Luck.
It seems for the last month or so I have been tired all the time. The only thing that has changed is I started an antidepressant and my BC. I work the same hours, I sleep the same hours. I do not know how to cure this. I try walking to boost some endorphins and I try to eat as healthy as I can. Does anyone know what would be making me feel like I just want to sleep? I have a dr. apt next week but I thought I would ask you ladies first to see if we have a cure on here.
Thanks In Advance
ETA- I am not prego... lol we are being careful for now. until things settle down again. Also I just had my . so I am almost pos I am not. As for Mono what does that feel like I have no sore throat.

This could be a side effect of the antidepressant. I've been on many through the years and have found that the majority of them make me tired, sluggish. I agree with another poster that stated to have your iron level checked, while you're at it have your B12 and vitamin D levels checked as well.
Thyroid problems make you tired, thirsty cold... It can mess up hormones as well. I would get that checke dout.
Some antidepressants have fatigue as a side effect. Side effects usually go away after the first few weeks but if they have not, it is a good idea to talk to your doctor as different people have different experiences with the various medications. There are many options for antidepressants and there may be another medication in the same class or there may be another class of antidepressant that would work better for you with out the side effect. Only you and your doctor could decide that tho, so keep your appointment :)
Get a blood test-you may have mono, be pregnant, or just need some vitamin D!
you might have low iron. have your blood checked. i dont think you have mono, you would be hurting for sure if you did. antidepressants tend to make you tired, so i wouldnt take them during the day, take them at night. they are made to slowly release serotonin from your brain which can cause some fatigue. or your body might just be trying to adjust to your medication.
read the side effects of your medication.
you should have your level B12 checked. i like you had no energy, and still don't, if i don't get a B12 shot once a month. once i get it, i get all the energy i used to have.
Until the followup try b complex vitamins for energy. They really do it for me.
When I started antidepressants they made me feel like I was moving under a blanket. Slow and muffled. That could be the reason for your fatigue. Double whammy it by starting your birth control at the same time, which will whack your hormones all over the place and there you go. That's your answer. You either need to give it more time or try a different antidepressant, one that won't cause that sleepy, droopy eyed, underwater sort of feeling.
It takes about three months for your body to regulate to a new hormonal birth control. After that you should feel better. So either give all your new meds at least three months before throwing in the towel or try a new type of anti-antidepressant.
My antidepressant makes me super tired so I have started taking them just before bed which has helped a ton
I had depression that did not respond to antidepressants. It turned out the depression was caused by my low thyroid. Ask your doctor for a full panel of thyroid tests.
