Tight and Pregnant- Paranoid Question

For days my stomach has felt ?tight? I am not sure that is the word for it. I know it is not contractions as I remember that PAIN. Remember I am only 11 weeks so my baby hasnt popped out yet. (although I am getting bigger!)

Is this just normal growth feeling? I am super worried right now because I was informed that I have a large placenta and a low HCG.

This tightness is also in my back and sides so it is wrapping all around me. Just as an ah ha moment it is the bloating tightness if that makes sense.

What can I do next?

Congrats on your pregnancy! Totally normal to feel tight---I felt similar and my doctor said its because of the changing body. Hang in there!

i had to take progestrone (ine) for my low levels.do they not have you taking something to offset that? i am not medically schooled so maybe progestrine is not connected to hcg levels but i thought it was. i miscarried at 12 weeks because of low levels before.
cal your doctor and tell them what you're feeling . they have a nurse line for that

I had that too and it was due to an excess of amniotic fluid, called polyhydromnios. (Google this for more in detail explanation) My case wasn't too bad, but it can cause concerns if it gets to be too much.

When's your next doctor appointment? Maybe call and mention it to your ob nurse and see what she says. Most likely it's a normal part of your pregnancy. Congrats and good luck!

I would call your doc office, given the low HCG level. Probably nothing & normal but best to make sure.

I had this, too. Like mommyloveskids, I also had polyhydromnios. (Mine was a sever case, though. Many women don't show this so early in a pregnancy.)

This is what helped me a TON: water. Lots and lots of water. I was drinking a gallon a day. (My Dr. suggested this to me.) It really helped with the tightness. Warm baths also help. Make sure the bath is body temperature, and NOT hot. Hot baths are not good. I don't know if these things would work for you, so you might check with your doctor first.

Are you seeing your doctor soon? Definitely express your concern with them as soon as you can. Even if you want to call, that's what they are there for. Ask them specifically what a large placenta could mean (placenta previa, other conditions...if they can rule those out) and if the tightness is troublesome.

My second felt "larger" then my first, heavier too. Maybe a bit of lotion to help, the rubbing and the moisture might do some good. It helped me relax and prevented the worst of the stretch marks.
