Tide PODS

Do you use Tide PODS? They are the new 'all in one' package that you just pop into the washer. No measuring, etc. I don't use them because I have an He machine and with the Pods there is no way to measure out a small amount for a small load.

Anyway, it seems that there are a handful of kids that have confused these laundry pods for candy. So just a heads up to move the detergent on up.

So What Happened?

So it seems the national number of incidents is up to around/over 250!
In response, P&G is going to change the design of the container lid.

I have an HE machine, and I've used the pods. I love them!! I don't think I've ever run a small load (I have a teenager and a 4 year old at home, so we always have a full load of laundry!! LOL)

Thanks for the heads up about kids confusing them, I'll have to make sure to keep them up out of reach of my little guy!

I just bought some yesterday. I used to work for P&G. The pods are ok for the HE machines, I myslef have an HE. They will dissolve in hot, warm or cold water. I really like them because my kids 9 & 11 can do laundry and I dont have to worry about them measuring the soap or spilling it all over. As for kids confusing it for candy, yuk, guess we better make sure we keep out of reach, :)

ETA: I just opened mine and there was a seal that i had to break to open, the seal clearly showed a warning to not let children have them.

You can use the pods in the HE machines. We had one of those in our vacation home last week and I tossed the pod in with the clothes. Easy and done.

My kids know the difference between candy and pods too. Even my 5 year old starts the washer and he knows how to do it. I figure it one load gets a little more washing stuff it'll be okay.

They have made my life easier in the fact that I can just toss and go. Anything to simplify my crazy life and I'm all over it.
