We have been batteling thrush off and on since she was 2 months old.
It seems to be under control now, but is there anything i can do to help her build natural flora in her mouth so it doent keep coming back?

What can I do next?

My ped suggested probiotics - specifically Culturelle. He said to open a capsule, and the capsule should last 3-4 days (keep in the fridge after opening). You could put just a little on the end of a damp pacifier, if she takes one. Or on the end of your clean, damp finger and get her to suck it for a minute. We did this a few times per day.

Thrush can be very difficult to control and it thrives in a more basic ph environment. Over the counter acidophilus can help with replacing a person's natural flora to combat thrush or in short, yeast. Another is to use yogurt, but you need to read the ingredients and definitely look for acidophilus cultures to know it will fight yeast. Many brands do not carry the ingredient the way it used to. Good lick and I hope this information is helpful. Oral nystatin is good for thrush and for adults Diflucan is for prescription medication assistance.

When my daughter had it, I was told to give her lots of water and to be sure to boil the bottle nipples. That was 30 years ago.

When my oldest nephew was an infant he had that. It was just a pain trying to get rid of. Water was the most helpful thing. Cleared it up just fine but trying to get him to drink the water was challenging but we figured it out.
