We just finished moving into our new house and it was a long process. I'm so tired but my legs are waking me up last night and now again tonight throbbing. I've taken Advil and walked around but I can't get back to sleep...any suggestions for relief?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks! With all the craziness of moving it didn't even occur to me I could be a little dehydrated. I'm going to make sure I'm conscious of it today while I'm organizing everything.

I agree with the suggestion it's dehydration. Eat bananas to replace potassium, eat foods with salt and drink sport drinks like Gatorade that will help balance and restore your electrolytes, elevate your legs while sleeping and resting to bring down swelling, take a warm to cool shower before bed, and drink water also to get yourself rehydrated. Tylenol or Advil will help with inflammation if that's what's happening with achey sore muscles. If you haven't been eating that well, have a good breakfast and lunch. Your metablolism might be on overdrive from all of the physical activity...you simply just may need a good meal.

drink a glass of tonic water. it has quinine in it and thats good for muscle cramps. my husband has that problem after working and going up and down ladders all day. the doctor recommended it and it works great

I bet youre a little dehydrated.
Drink water and take potassium or eat a banana or an orange before you hit the sack.

In addition to the potassium, make sure you are taking calcium. Leg cramps are my surest sign I'm too low on it. I think the other responders are on track, though.
