a friend is having a party and i'm considering going, I don't usually like home parties, but these bags look so tempting. Anyone own anything from them? Fav product? is it good quality? I also thought I might pick up a few bags to give as end of the year gift for teachers, under $25 each Think they might like that?

Oh and does 31 have any sort of deal if you buy so much you get something? I"m sure they'll say at the party but i hate feeling talked intot something.

What can I do next?

I don't do home parties or MLM products...ever!! However, I did win a bag from Thirty One, and it's fantastic!! (Thinking about ordering a different bag, actually!) I felt like the quality is really great, especially since they aren't expensive to buy. I think it's typical that there are specials like you talk about. Go to the Thirty One website and the special offers should be advertised. My friend orders from Thirty One and she said there is no minimum order or catches.

Oh, I think bags for the teachers is a great idea!

Wow! I love seeing all the positive 31 comments!! I am a 31 consultant (very part-time) and it's a great company! Our most popular items are the Large Utility Tote, the Organizing Utility Tote, and Thermal collection. The April special is 1/2 off a purse for every $31 you spend. The most popular purse is the Organizing Shoulder Bag. One of our new favorites is the Casual Cargo Purse. Lots of great choices!!! You can see the catalog online at thirtyonegifts.com/catalog. Happy Shopping!

Looooove it!

Hmmm lets see.
Each one of my kids have the cinch sacks for overnight grandparents house they go.

I have the large utility tote I use as a diaper bag.

I have 2 thermal totes, (one was ordered wrong and they let me keep it) then they sent me the right one. Those are cool too for picnics or bringing your lunch to work.

Then I have the HUGE collapsible bag that I take for weekends at the cabin. It holds all my clothes and all 3 kids clothes.

Each month they usually have a different deal. Im not sure what is going on this month though.

They are very durable and cute! Did I mention I loved it??

And no, scouts honor, I do not sell it! lol

I have a few things. The quality is pretty good, but I still think the stuff is over priced. You can get the same (well not exactly the same, but similar) type of storage items at stores for a third of the price. I got what I believe is called the small utility tote for my son to store books in downstairs. Works great! The price jumped because I got it monogrammed. It is a fun party to go to. The way I look at it...night out, spend some money, and get something new...even if it does seem over priced.

Right nowthey have half price purses. Last tray I had a party which had the types for seven dollars. You have to look at the specials.

I have ordered from thirty one a ton of times.
I have two different size thermal totes-LOVE those, I use them all summer for drinks/snacks for the kids at the pool.
I have the large utility tote for a swim bag. Its great, but my husband spilled bleach on it (its black) and basically ruined it :( BUT, I ordered a new bag to replace it that is even bigger- the XXL Everyday Tote. By looking at it, I should be able to fit towels and "stuff" for all 5 kids and myself this summer- I'll find out soon.
Another one of my favorites from there is the large zipper pouch. I had one for my boys (and just ordered one for my soon to be daughter) for diapers and wipes. It is big enough to hold a few diapers, wipes and a change of clothes- great by itself or to stick in the diaper bag.
I bought my first "purse" from there at the last party I went to. I will actually use it as a diaper bag once the baby is born. I typically don't care for their purses, but only because I prefer leather.
I think thirty one bags would be great for teacher gifts, but I would probably stick with something more generic- like a utility bag- instead of a purse, unless you are really familiar with their personal style.

That was the monthly deal! AND...my friend & I decided to co-host a party in JUNE! Can't wait! (Like you, I don't normally do these home parties, but I really like the woman who hosted & I am so glad I went!)

I'm a 31 consultant because I have a thing for bags. Love them! At the party you should be able to see a wide variety of bags so you can check them out, touch them, and try them on. My favorite is the Large utility tote. $30 and every mom needs one because they can hold so much and store flat. I also use the all in one organizer and Organizing utility tote. Their soft wallet is a fav too. Check them out... I am happy to answer questions! Have fun!

I have quite a few products from them and I'm happy with everything. They have a warranty on most of the products, and one purse I got ended up getting ripped (my fault, not a product flaw) and the consultant got me a replacement for free, I just had to pay to ship the old one back.

Just set yourself a budget before you go, or take inventory of your closets and see what sort of things you might be in the market for. If you see something more expensive you really want, it might be worth it to have a party yourself, or talk to the consultant about sales or layaway.

I had a party a few weeks ago and it was a hit! I got so many goodies for free and was able to buy hostess items. My friend had a catalog party (sold over $200) and I get a free organizing utility tote.

I actually just ordered two more things tonight on her catalog party.

I really like the extra large storage bags (I put in my van for groceries -- especially for Sam's club, one for shoes in my closet, one for toys in the van, one for when we go overnight at grandma's). I also have the smaller organizing tote that doubles as a purse/diaper bag, a larger oranizing tote I use for work (holds file folders), another for scrapbooking. I also got the mini totes for each of girls for toys in the van. I put their names on those and they love them. Tonight I ordered a wallet and a square tote to be a trash container.

The only thing I wish I hadn't gotten was the canvas bag that we hand picked out the family. It cost about $50. It's cute, but not that cute. It's not very large --- it could hold maybe 10 library books. Was dissapointed with that one.

I am also hesitant about personalizing things. I like the option of giving something away or selling it if I don't like it. Or, letting my girls use it.

I'm actually going to a party tomorrow. I think some things are a little pricey, but if you have a party the more expensive items can be more reasonable. I had a party around the holidays and everything I got was great quality and I always get compliments on them. Usually the special for the month is when you spend $31, you get something for a discount. Like stated earlier, spend $31 this month you get a purse for 1/2 off. They make great teacher gifts, too.

Added: I bought the personalized note cards for teacher gifts and they loved them. I love the wallet, mini pouch, metro retro bag.

Love 31! Very good quality but a little pricey especially if you add the monograms. I have given several items away and everyone has loved them. Next week they are having a clearance with deep discounts on select items - can't wait to see what that will be.
