Does anyone own the GMC Acadia? How do you like it? We're thinking of buying one but I haven't personally talked to anyone that owns it to see how they like it.

What can I do next?

We have owned one for 1 1/2 years. We needed to replace a Grand Caravan. After my husband did all the research, we test drove the Acadia and the Ford Taurus X. We preferred the handling and access to the third row of the Acadia. Our version has the captains' chairs in the 2nd row. We have more flexibility moving the car seats around when more adults are riding along. The cargo area is quite adaptable depending on what you need to haul -- seats fold down ( 3rd row 2/3 to 1/3). We have taken a petty long road trip with all the necessary things and had room to still be comfortable. Hope that this was helpful.

My husband and I recently purchased the Acadia this past March. He used to drive the GMC Envoy, but his lease was up and we were due with our first child end of May (born June 5th) and wanted me to start driving a bigger car. (I was driving a Galant which he drives now). We LOVE the Acadia. We have the one with the 2 bucket seats in the center. (Easier to get to the back row) The car is very roomy. The trunk area is tight but the back row can be pushed down to make more room. You can push one seat down or a double seat down or both depending on how much room you need. My husband and I LOVE the Acadia and recommend it to anyone. My aunt and uncle has one too and he loves it as well.

Hi! I won't be the response your looking for but I hope someone can give you great insight. This is my dream car!! I'm always surprised I don't see more of them on the road. I think that might have to do with the cost of it...not sure. However, I do know one person that owns one and as far as I have ever heard...they love it. We've done some research on them in the past and have never found anything that would deter us from ever buying one. Sorry it's not much...but I'd say go for it!

My Mother just got one and "we" love it! I say we because she always hands me the keys. It is a great ride. Very comfortable. Tons of room when the back seats are folded down. The only 2 negatives are, the headrest hits me right in the back of the head, and there is a bit of a blind spot when I look back towards the rear passenger side to back out. That being said, I am only 5ft tall, so that could be why I have the issue. A taller person might not have either problem. Mom got the silver green metallic and it is sharp! She got an awesome deal at Williams Chevrolet in Elton Md.

I'm not sure if I will be a lot of help either...but I do own a GMC Envoy and LOVE IT!! The Acadia has a wider wheel base and it sits a little lower to the ground than the envoy. My sister in law just got the acadia and I did check it out on the inside. It has the 3rd row which is really nice...but you have VERY little trunk room when the 3rd row is up (so it may be tough to go for a big food order or a trip to the beach). Other than that - it looks like a very sweet car. And - from experince - having ONSTAR in the car is a huge plus!!!!!

Good luck!

I don't have the Acadia, but last year I bought the Chevy Malibu and I L-O-V-E it! It gets great gas mileage and is very stylish. Don't worry about buying a GM car... they have really improved their quality and I think for the money they're a great deal.

It will probably come with an Onstar trial, maybe even the one with the Directions & Connections package. You'll love it!

My husband and I almost bought the Acadia last October. I have to say that we did A LOT of research and that is the car that we both really wanted. Unfortunately we weren't able to get a great deal on it.
We ended up going with the Mazda CX-9, which I still love. We were able to get a much better deal on this at the time. Which seemed weird because the sticker price was higher. I just would have preferred the Acadia because it gives on extra seat, which can be very useful when you have 4 children. Maybe when my lease is up I'll be able to try the Acadia.
Good Luck!
