Thoughts on Pediatricians in the Area

I currently am with Dr. Bedingfield's office in Hoffman Estates for my son's care. We suspect he has GER and he has been put on Zantac to treat this. While they seem nice enough, I feel that Dr. Bedingfield is a bit "old school" and they do not offer much information to you at the office visits unless you specifically ask the right questions. For a first-time mom, this can be annoying! I am looking into switching to another practice, specifically "Pediatric Care Associates" in Hoffman Estates (Dr's Boton, Fitzpatrick, McCoy, Mirchandani, Reinstein)....any insight into these offices and/or other offices?

Thanks....

What can I do next?

Hi,

My children go to Associates in Pediatrics in Streamwood. They are located right where Schaumburg and Streamwood come together. Like behine the home Depot. I can not remember the street name, I just go there on "auto-pilot".

###-###-####. My girls have been going here for years, they now are 23, 18 and 16. The doctors have all been great. Talke time with new moms to explain and for even the "not it all mom". You could give them a call and meet them maybe.

We actually go to that office and are very happy with the care. We however specifically ask to NOT have Dr. Bedingfield. I too feel his is very old school, and not very forthcoming with information. Doesn't seem to think good old Mom knows anything! Dr. Siver is who we primarily see and we have a good working relationship with her. My boys are 6 and 9 and love her even though she is a girl (they are starting to get shy with other women but don't seem to be bothered by her.)
Can't help you with the other practice, hope you find what you are looking for.

We go to Sanders Pediatrics in Arlington Heights (rand and 53), and see Dr Salituro. We love her and she is great with our daughter. It is a large practive - but we like that because we can always get in for an appt. Our GP takes her kids there also.

We go to Pediatric Associates of Barrington in Crystal Lake. They have an office in Barrington right on the grounds of Good Shepard Hospital. They are opening another office in Huntley and Hoffman Estates- I don't know when, but they told me this past weekend when I was in. We LOVE Dr. Kaufman there. He is so informative on everything and he offers up all information. I, like you, don't always know what to ask. So, I like someone to tell me everything. He is in his 40's, so it's nice that he has some experience but is not "old school". I have seen a few of the other doctors there, and most are nice. There is one lady there I don't care for, Dr. Bahoudin (spelling?). She's ok, but doesn't have the greatest bedside manner.
