I bought a bunch about a year ago and still use them a lot. just put them on the top rack of the dishwasher, I had one melt when I put it in the lower rack one time.
other than that , they work great, I wouldn't toss them, it feels like so much waste for something that works like new.

Yes. We've used ours over and over.

I wash and reuse them too - as does my day care. I think it's perfectly fine until they get "icky" and old, and chewed up (straws or tops) - then I do toss : )

They're like GladWare for toddlers-- sturdy enough you can wash and reuse, but cheap enough it's not a tragedy if they get lost or tossed

You can reuse them all you like...they are called take and toss because they're relatively cheap and if you have to toss one, you toss it. :)

We use them until they get stepped on or hide under the couch so they c an grow a terrarium inside. They are good quality and can be used many many times. The reason they call them take and toss is because they are so inexpensive they can be used once and thrown away if you are not where you can rinse them out when done.

Regular straws from Walmart fit in the hole too.

And actually, when they do get too icky to use any more, they're recyclable, so don't toss them, RECYCLE them!! (Not as catchy of a name, I know).

I use them at my daycare. I love them. Use 'em over and over. When the straws get gross, I just buy a pack of straws at Kroger for 70 cents.

Are you talking about the cups you get at places like Dutch Brothers? I bought smoothies for my grand daughter all summer long and we kept the cups. I wash them and their pointy lids in the dishwasher but I always throw away the straws. There is no way you can clean inside a straw so get rid of them and buy a pack of plastic straws at the store. Give them a fresh straw with each cup and toss when done. We love having all the different colored tops so when there are 4 or 5 kids visiting and they all get water, we know whos is whos. We keep them till they get cracked from being stepped on or out in the yard with bugs. I love how the lids fit tight so the kids cant really open and spill all over.

They hold up very well in the dishwasher. With my daughter though, she likes to chew on the straws, so we just bought a bag of regular straws and use them with the cups.

We've had our Take N Toss straw cups for over a year now. Just throw them in the dishwasher...they're very sturdy and great for on the go.
