Hey moms,
Are there any elastic type "thingies" (for lack of a better word) that would attach to your pant hem, go under your foot, etc. and keep your pant hem down in your boots?

Names and links if you have them! Thank you!

So What Happened?

Okay, the cutting off circulation made me laugh; that's definitely not what I'm going for! Yes, Seoulmom that's what I was thinking; they are kind of like the elastic w/ clips product that you use to keep sheets on the bed at the corners.

Thank you for the link, Ava's mama!

Yes they clipped from one side of the pant hem, went under the fool (instep) and around to the other side of the pant leg hem and clipped.

Worked.

Bought them A LONG TIME AGO at a shoe store, I believe.

detachable stirrups. You could probably make them. Head to joanns and buy 3/4" elastic (a pack will be plenty but u can buy by the yd.) and some clips. The workes should be able to let you know what clips to get. They would not even require sewing.

The military calls them boot blousers, but they aren't what you want. They tend to cut off circulation if they are placed around the leg. They are made to make the pants stay on the outside of the boot with the pants leg placed up inside the pants leg, not the boot.

Get garters and attach them to the bottom of your hem on either side and place the flat part under your heel. They are adjustable and will keep you pants in your boots. You can also get the longer versions and attach one end to the top of your socks and the top end to the bottom of your shirt/blouse so your blouse won't come out of your pants.

Good luck to you and yours.

Mitten clips do the same thing. Also the clips that you buy to keep your sheets tucked in will work

I think Christine has is right, stirups. They were big in the 80's..I think?

8kidsdad and Margie are right in the name and the sentiment this probably isn't what you are looking for. :)

I am sorry - I don't know how to make a link! But I use these and they work great. Takes a little adjusting to get them in the right position but once there your pants will stay down inside your boots. Good luck

I have so many boot blousers in my house. I could give you a handful and he would never miss them.
Military stores will have them, but personally I would never use them. THey are little green bungee cords that go around the ankle.

Maybe pants garters? Something that goes round the heel would be more comfortable.
