Thomas and Friends Live on stage...worth It?

Thomas and Friends Live is coming to town next week. I was thinking I might take my older son (3.5). Has anyone been? Is it worth it or is it dumb? Will he actually stay entertained? He loves the animated Thomas on PBS, but he doesn't care for the older version Thomas DVD we have. It's $20 each for the cheapest tickets.

What can I do next?

I am PISSED off they aren't coming to UT. . . .I know I wouldn't enjoy the show, but my son would just die and go to heaven! And watching his reaction I would enjoy. We are going to a Day Out With Thomas, so I guess that works. Well we will if they haven't cut the funding. Crossing my fingers for that one!

My mom just took my son (we were unfortunately out of state at a wedding that weekend). He LOVED it. He is 2.5. She said they did a fantastic job of keeping the kids entertained and involved in the show. That was 2 weeks ago and every day he still screams "Stop Percy Stop". I guess that is one of the things from the show.

I think he would probably enjoy it. He is at the perfect age.

i would see frog and toad at the buskirk chumley instead if you want to go to something... much better production...

or spend the $20 on a wooden train he can play with every day.

I took my son when he was about 2.5. I thought he may be too young and get stir crazy but he LOVED it and sat there totally entertained the entire time. He is now 4 and I think he would love to see it again! I took my son by myself and my husband stayed home with the baby. I didn't see the point in paying the money for both adults, which I think was a good decision.
