Dr. Oz recommends all sorts of things. I would take his advice with a grain of salt. He has a TV show that depends on ratings, so it's all about creating interest through "miracle" stories. He also touted Sensa for weight loss and that company just paid a hefty fine for false advertising.

Junk science. Just eat real food. Honestly, dr. Oz is a hack, sensationalist tabloid character.

Dr. Oz is well known in the medical community to be a quack marketing shill for alternative medicine.

There's a name in the medical community for something that has been scientifically proven to work through double blind peer reviewed studies:

Medicine.

Love,
Your neighborhood medic.

Before trying anything suggested by Dr. Oz or Dr. Mercola, I would run it past a real doctor.

BS... In my opinion... YES.

There is no such thing as a magic pill for weight loss and fat burning.

You limit your intake, raise your exercise level and use moderation when it comes to food.

Hi L.,

I'm not a member of the Dr. Oz fan club but he's not the only one that's in it for the money. Before we throw every baby out with the bath water, realize that the medical community has MUCH to gain as well. Human beings are human beings. One reason things don't work is because our body doesn't work the way it's supposed to. We fill it full of synthetic chemicals and don't expect to have side effects....pesticides, preservatives, OTC meds, pharmaceuticals, additives in our fast foods, Agent Orange in our home (yes, Lysol ladies) and of course our body will not only hold onto weight but will have numerous side effects as well.

The garcinia he mentioned may be a fine product but everybody has a different chemical makeup so who knows what will happen. The only way to know for sure is to get to a baseline of good health. I'm afraid to say, most overweight people, as well as underweight people are simply not healthy. Toxicities HOLD weight. Toxicities also can prevent us from having enough fat.

Just my two cents!
