not especially 'strong' or 'masculine' per se, but a perfectly nice name.
if you like it, what does it matter what strangers think?

Everett is actually a name that runs in my family, every male has the middle name of either Everett or Eugene. My Dad's is Everett, it is a great name :)
I like it! Not mainstream but not "out there". A good middle ground.
Welcome to mamapedia!!
I really like the name Everett. I would use it!
Strong like Mt. Everest? That was my initial thought. Personally, it doesn't roll off the tongue very well. Shortening it to Ev can easily become Evie on the playground. However, if you like it our opinions don't really matter.
There is no such thing as a strong or weak name. If YOU like the name, go with it.
I don't know what it means to be "masculine" when it comes to names. I think you might want to reconsider assigning attributes that denote "power" and "strength" - who do you need him to strong-arm??? But it's a great name, I know some Everetts, and you can name your child whatever you want. I always advise people to look at the child's total monogram and make sure it doesn't spell a silly word or a nasty one, but other than that, if the child can pronounce it, great!
I wouldn't call it a strong name but it is a nice name.
Sounds like a great name to me. It sounds strong.
I like it. I've never known anyone called Everett. Just think of how it could possibly be shortened or made a nic name, because that does tend to happen. And be ok with the possibilities.
I also tried out names around the house when we were pregnant. Try saying "Everett .. please pass the peas" or yell it to see if you still like it when you'll be calling him in from the yard.
Another yes vote. It passes what is for me the key test -- it works for an adult as well as for a kid. A name (to me) should be one that will work for a child but also look good on a business card in 30 years' time (if there still are business cards then!) and wear well on an older adult too. Definitely Everett would sound good and appropriate through a whole lifetime!
I love the site "Behind the Name", you can find all sorts of fun facts! In this case, Everett is derived from the surname Everard. Everard means "brave boar". So yes, I would say it is a "strong" name, & it is masculine in origin (not unisex).

Hope that helps! T. :)
think its a perfect name for a boy.
I love it! Go for it mama.
I really like the name; I considered it for my second son but husband didn't like it. It is the name of my favorite character from my favorite book. I say go for it.
I like it. There was a little boy on my son's T-ball team last year with that name. His family often shortened it to Ev.
I like it. you could shorten it to Rett or Rhett.
Thank you so much for your opinions! I appreciate your time! Its nice to use this forum as a sounding board!
I don't think strong when I hear it, but I love it all the same.
