I have used the bathroom cleaner and it works great on showers. Even better then the all the toxin cleaners I used to use. Just remember Green Works DOES NOT KILL GERMS!

I recently bought the Green Works Bathroom cleaner and hate it. It didn't cut through any of the soap scum and I was putting a lot of elbows into it. I finally wiped it all down and went to go get the remnants of my Scrubbing Bubbles. I'd like to know how well the other stuff works, though.

Another simple solution for cleaning is vinegar or a mix of equal parts vinegar and water. I have 2 spray bottles under my kitchen sink, one with each solution. It is what I use for all of my cleaning and it works great. Vinegar kills over 99% of bacteria without any harsh chemicals. I believe it is what most of our granmother's used to clean with anyway. We use it in the kitchen, bathroom, etc. One cleaning solution for counters, mirrors, etc. Congrats on going green and removing the chemicals from you and your children's lives! There's also a simple fruit & veggie wash you can create in case you can't always buy organic. Equal parts water & vinegar, 1 tsp baking soda, be careful it will react and a few drops of grapefruit seed extract (it can be found at any health food store.)

My advice would be to save your money... this includes Green Works, Melaleuca, and Shaklee products.

You can make your own cleaner for much, much less money. I use a 1/2 and 1/2 mixture of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle to clean pretty much everything. Vinegar disinfects, kills germs and mold, plus it leaves a nice shine. If I need a little extra scrubbing power I simply sprinkle a little baking soda. I do still have some bleach in the house for big messes, but the majority of the time it's only vinegar and water. I mop, dust, clean the bathroom & kitchen & any other messes all with vinegar and water... I even clean my fruits and veggies with it! The best part is that I can clean right in front of my toddler (who is in to EVERYTHING) and if she touches it, it's no big deal! The vinegar smell is a bit to get used to, I've heard some people add a drop of essential oils (like lavender) to help mask it, but I don't worry about it, the smell dissipates within minutes.

I know people that even make their own laundry soap and dishwasher soap.

If you Google "Homemade Green Cleaning" you can get a ton of useful sites for making all your own recipes for pennies on the dollar.

The Green Works product line works just fine if you want to spend the money for convenience of going green. But I suggest googling home recipes for "Green" household products. I use a mix of water, white vineger and dish soap for my "all purpose" spray. I also use that for my floor cleaner. If you have hardwoods, then you really need to use that anyway. Also, there is a product called a steam mop. I have one that I used on my floors that only uses water, but it steams and cleans your floors beautifully! It broke, so until I get it fixed I am using my homemade remedy. You'll find that these products really do work just as well and you'll feel better knowing what chemicals you are depleting in your home! Enjoy!

Congrats on going green. It is better for you, your family, and the environment. I want to let you know Green Works still has added chemicals and toxins in their cleaners. They do not use as much as their regular cleaners but they are there. I highly recommend the Melaleuca products! Not only are they better for the environment, they work better too! I was very pleasantly surprised when I tried them out, my shower has never been cleaner and the cost is about the same. (Most Melaleuca people will tell you they are a lot cheaper, but they are truly about the same. Again, for the benefits it is worth it for my family.)
And the biggest bonus, there are safe to have around my children, which is a huge selling point for me! Truly though, I had tried Green Works many years ago and wasn't thrilled with the smell nor overly impressed with the cleaning ability. Melaleuca does have an odd smell, but it is not harsh and I don't even notice it anymore. And like I said previously, they work!

I use them and love them. The only one I have not tried is the dish soap. I still like my Dawn when it comes to my dished. My son has asthma and used to have trouble with my old cleaning products and since I have switched he can be in the same room with me when I am using them and has no trouble. I would definantly recommend them.

I have been using them for sometime now and I really like them. I use the all purpose cleaner, the dilutable cleaner and the toliet bowl cleaner. I don't like the glass cleaner b/c it leaves bad streaks but the rest of them seem to work great. The all purpose cleaner works well on my tub too. I am pretty particular and they are working great for me. Hope this helps!

If these are the Green stuff sold by Walmart I use the bathroom cleaner products and find them pretty similar to others. I like them because I can let my little ones clean the bathroom without risking their health.

I haven't read the other posts if you had received any but I use the Green Works products & like them very much. They really aren't very much more than the regular products. Just watch when they go on sale & watch the Sunday papers for coupons.

The "Method" products from Target are also very cool. I use them now instead of traditional cleaning products, which I have always been skittish about using, even before the whole "green" movement. I typically do not to use any harsh chemicals with anything...you can also use regular baking soda for a TON of uses....cleaning toilets, sinks, showers, etc. It was around decades before all these other harsh chemical cleaners!

I use them and I think they work great. The refills you delude, I learned that the hard way. :)

I use the glass and surface and the all purpose green works cleaners. I love them. They do a great job cleaning and smell good. They also don't leave a chemical smell or feeling on my hands!

Hi C.! Congrats to you on "going green"! It is the best decision you can make for your family! But when converting your home over you want to make sure you convert everything, not just the cleaning products. I have been shopping from Melaleuca for 3 years now and they have over 400 products that are "green" and eco-friendly. All of their products are affordable and comparable in price to what you are already paying for name brands at your local store. It is the best way to go so that you can save more time and money. All of the products are concentrated so you will use much less and it will last you longer too.

On the "Green Works" I would stay away from that line, would you trust something that is made by Clorox??? We have researched that product before and it does still have chemicals in it and it also does not disinfect either so you might as well just use water.

Green Works is pricey and their products do not disinfect. There is no government "standard" for calling products "green" so companies will LOWER, not remove, LOWER, the amount of chemicals in their products to below industry standard and call them green. They also are not required to list ALL the chemicals on their products labels. I purchase products from a company that has been in business for 23 years and is an Inc 500 company. They are also a pharmaceutical company. Their products are safer, healthier and better for the environment. I have converted my home to these products and have been very happy with the costs and the quality. Their store is a wholesale online store. They don't sell their products in the grocery stores. Recently I found a dishwashing product (not for automatic dishwashers) made by Seventh Generation, and am very satisfied with it. It is free of perfumes and dyes, and is vegetable (coconut and corn) based, with no chemicals. Initially I got it to use for cleaning plastic equipment, since I hated the way the plastic parts (esp. medical, like tubes and containers) smell after you use regular stuff like Palmolive, Ivory or even Dawn. With this, there is no after smell and it cleans good. It is good for us (hypoallergenic and non-toxic) and for the environment (biodegradable). I am planning to use it more widely, and will seek out their other products. I saw Schnucks has it. Even if it is more expensive (not much), I'd still prefer a safer product; I'd watch for it on sale. Their website is www.seventhgen.com.

Love them! They smell so nice and clean just as good as any other cleaner Ive used. They are maybe 20-30 cents more than regular cleaners but its not bad at all. Hope this helps!

Green workds are ok cleaning products. I would strongly suggest trying Shaklee. A friend of mine starting selling it herself after getting a bottle fro chirstmas. I absolutely LOVE it. Everything is superconcentratd and one bottle of basic cleaner equals A TON of cleanin products. And you can buy sturdy bottles that you reuse. WAY green, plus everything is kid/pet friendly, you can even clean your veggies/fruit with it. AWESOME!!! check it out, its all I use anymore, I could go on and on for days over it :)

I have read some of the posts, I agree that I wouldn't trust a green product from the same company that makes Clorox or even the ones that put formaldehyde on baby shampoo, yes, Quarternium 15 or Q15, google it and check your labels.
I have been shopping from Melaleuca for over 3 years now and yes they are a litlle bit less expensive than gree works and they assure us no toxic chemicals. I don't do the business but I enrolled friends and other people that want to shop for healtier products. I just don't like the business side, it is not for me even though I know that it works for many other moms. But the products are great and I do have my website like all customers do.
You want to know prices, here is an example, Very concentrated multipurpose cleaner: $5.69, you make 4 bottles of the regular size, so you pay $1.42 a bottle, that is much less than the $3 for green works but when you add the shipping is just a little bit less but these products are much better and reliable. They are truly the best quality you can get. I love them and wouldn't switch to anything else. I also use Mule Team Borax for some cleaning it is cheap and green. Going Green is probably the best thing that you can do for you and your family. Not only are you eliminating using harsh chemicals, you don't have to worry about them going airbourne and inhaled.
I have been using Melaleuca products (they have never used any caustic chemicals).

I use the Green Works and love it. It cleans good and has a fresh smell. They also sell a concentrate that you can mix up yourself. It's really resonable.

we use greenworks cleaners. they work great and are less than 3 dollars per cleaner. i would highly reccomend it. good luck
