Things to Do in Pittsburgh? - Rochester,NY

I am in Pittsburgh with my 3 year old while my husband is at a conference during the day. I am looking for something to do with my son where he can run around. We went to the National Aviary today. I was debating on the Childrens Museum, but I'm not sure if that will be good for him based on his "defiant phase" he's been going through. I think a park, or somewhere he can burn off engery (even if indoors) will be good. We drove to Pittsburgh, so we have some flexibility with driving to a nearby area.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks all for the advice! We did go the Zoo on Saturday with my husband, it was a decent time. My son still had some moments, but overall it was good. I loved the idea of mini golf and we did that on Friday. He had a blast! I also took him over to a mall and let him play in the children's play area. It's something we do at home occasionally and figured it would be a good place to play with other kids and run around. Thanks again!!

The Science Center (IMO) is WAY better than the Children's museum. The zoo and aquarium are great. There are LOTS or parks - just google based upon where you are staying. The Carnegie is also great (especially if he is into dinosaurs at this point) but not so much for running around.

The Mr Rodger Museum is nice. It's pretty open and there is room for him to get his wiggles out. There are a few places it might be tough for you to go drag him out of but still a really cool place. the other children's museum ( by the ft stadium) seemed more for older kids and harder to navigate for us.

sorry i don't know any parks
