I have a 4 and 5 year old and we live in Lubbock and have seen all the "fun" places to see here. For Spring Break I'm thinking of taking them to Dallas but not sure of what activities to take them to. We've been to the Great Wolf Lodge and I know that place will be busy, but what other places can we go that they will have as much fun? Needs some insight here.
New Mexico is my other thought.

We've actually quite a few of them and whenever my parents come into town I keep this list handy.

Let's see - Six Flags will be open all week long. There's the FW Zoo (which is great) and the Dallas World Aquarium. (BTW - I would do the FW Zoo over the Dallas Zoo - lots more animals and better exhibits.) If you want to drive a little you can go to the Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose or Fossil Rim Wildlife Park also in Glen Rose. Those are both fun. I'll see if I can think of some more things to do - maybe some that are less expensive also :)
Just thought of this - FW also has the Log Cabin Village and sometimes they have stuff going on just for the kids or the whole family.
The Fort Worth Zoo is ranked in the top 10 nationally. Its a great zoo. There is a train that y'all could ride outside of the zoo as well. Ft. Worth has a botanical garden that's really pretty. You could go see the Stockyards as well. Dallas has the arboretum and the aquarium. Not sure when you are coming to the area, but in Grapevine they are doing a Day Out with Thomas and Friends this weekend and next weekend.
