Things to Do - Frisco,TX

Well, Heard museum is about a 45 minute-1.5 hour (max) place to visit so I'd cross that off your list. Othere fun things would be:

Tour of the Dallas Cowboys Stadium

Ripley's Believe it Or Not/Mirror Maze package

Boat rides/Dinner on Grapevine Lake
Take the Trolley Tour of Downtown Dallas/Uptown areas (I believe this is free if you ride the whole tour)
Fort Worth Zoo
Stockyards
Hawaiiian Falls

Being in Frisco, you probably know about the Frisco RoughRiders, the AA minor league baseball team affiliated with the Texas Rangers. It is a great family outing - they have ticket packages that you can get that include food and drink. If you talk to a ticket rep, he can also give you a tour of the stadium, including the dugout, before a game. The nice thing is that if you buy 2 seats for 6 games, you can trade in tickets so that you have 4 seats for 3 games or 3 seats for 4 games (or any combination you want).

We became members at the Dallas Zoo this year. It's an easy drive from Frisco and has easily paid for membership costs. Not having to pay for parking or admission makes it easy whether we want to spend a half day or a full day. We also go to Dallas World Aquarium a couple times per year. Pricey but fun.

I not sure what your budget is, but a fun inexpensive day trip we like to take is to Lake Ray Roberts--Isle Du Bois branch. We pack a picnic, bring lots of water and sunblock. We stay all day : swimming on the beach, hiking, playing on the play ground, and exploring different plants/rocks. Kids 13 and under are free and over 13 are $7. The butterfly garden in Fair Park is also really cool. A more educational trip would be Heritage Village. It has actors stationed at different houses that showcase life in different eras. My 2 year old even liked that one. Rollerskating is also fun. The CR Smith musuem is great and you get to do a lot of hands on stuff. Ft Worth museum of Science and Nature is a fun all day trip. The Dallas Zoo is fun too and also offers pony rides in the kids zoo. Always a hit with my kids. There is so much to do in the area. I hope this helps.
